Congrats! I guess I should prepare for the ding/WL--I've now seen a couple admits for interviews conducted after mine.

I'm in the same boat; interviewed 2/24, and haven't heard back yet.

Going through the thread, it seems the admitted folks are notified right before the two-week mark; so bad news seems to be on the horizon unfortunately.

Nope dude. Still waiting, the long long painful wait. Seems like just a couple of guys from India are on the admitted students page and they seemed to have interviewed in the US and not in India. Last year too interviews were held in India around mid-march. So I'm not sure if the interviews in India have been delayed because of work related backlog created due to bad weather/polar vortex in NYC this year or is it just that the guys who've got invites from R3 aren't mentioning anything on the forum. :evil:

Incidentally last year R1 guys (This time R1 & R2 guys) who chose to be interviewed in India were also interviewed in mid-march. So maybe fellows shortlisted during R1 & R2 this year can shed some light if slots have been frozen.

If you're waiting to hear from Stern, I wouldn't lose hope. It appears admissions has filled approximately 20% of the class judging from the number of students in the Class of 2016 facebook page. Every working day there are approximately 4 new members in the facebook group. Also, take a look at last year's thread and you'll notice plenty of people receiving invitations to interview in March/April.

Stern's target FT MBA Class size is around 400 students and the facebook group has approximately 80 registered members. I'm making an assumption that all admitted students have joined the group and intend to matriculate at Stern. If you look at UCLA's Class of 2016 facebook group, there are over 200 members and the program has a similar class size with Stern.

I actually noticed that too. Compared to other schools, Stern's not filled up 1/4 of its class size yet (when most schools are at least 60-70% filled up).

So, we should definitely not give up on hopes!

There'll probably be a delay in your decision until admissions receives your official transcripts. I wouldn't worry about it, but do what you can to expedite delivery.

I received a PM from a member asking for interview advice. Since there seems to be a few members preparing for an interview, here's my response.

Here's my interview advice in point form. Looking back at the interview I think I did well, but not great. I struggled on a question related to conflict in teams, but excelled when it came to discussing my career plan and goals.

- Be honest and confident during the interview - try to make the interview a conversation
- Read through clear admit post-interview reports, https://blog.clearadmit.com/category/interview-reports/school/nyu-stern/
- My interview was focused on my short term career plans since I am a career switcher. The admissions interviewer wanted to see that I did my homework on my target post-mba industry.
- Be realistic with your post-mba plans and what the mba can do for you.
- Know the school; eg. mention student clubs you want to join in a leadership role, talk about programs that interest you (Doing Business In..., Stern Consulting Corps, etc), speak to specific professors that you want to learn from, etc.
- Have 4-6 well thought out questions ready meaning don't ask questions that can be easily answered from the website. Ask questions like, "based on feedback from students, what aspect of the LAUNCH orientation was most valuable"
- The whole interview felt like I was being assessed on my ability to perform in a job interview.
- Know what industry, group of companies and position you want to attain after graduation. In addition, be ready to discuss your backup plan.

Also, I think it's important to realize that Stern only interviews about 20% of applicants and 70% of those are admitted into the program. You'll be admitted as long as you're confident, completed your homework about the school and are able to articulate your post-mba plans.
