Hi! I was admitted to Stern MBA (no scholarship) and UCLA MBA (with scholarship). I'm deciding which one I should go.
After graduation, I would like to work as a consultant in MBB.
According to what I researched so far,
Stern
Pro: Finance, location
Con: Expensive, not quite popular in consulting, Career service office (?) >> I'm not quite sure, some said it's helpful.
UCLA
Pro: Save a lot of money, career service office (rank 1st in Bloomberg this year)
Con: Not quite popular in consulting, transportation (I heard that you should have a car.)
Any suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance!
Assuming that your scholarship amount is less than $50k? If so, it will not make a difference in the long run. If you are financially stabel enough i.e. don't need to mortgage your home for the loan etc, then go to Stern. Its better for consulting - don't just look at MBB - Delloite, PwC, ATK, Strategy& all recruit at Stern, and in greater numbers than at Anderson.
Having said that, Anderson def is a very good school. If you are open to going into other non-traditional MBA programs, then Anderson may be a great expereince.
If you're international, work permits are a big deal, so consider Stern a better bet for larger recruiting firms (banks/tech/consulting)
