Hi isamyakcjain,

I responded to your prior post/thread - but with the additional information that you provided here, it appears that you already re-scheduled your Official GMAT for October (which is a smart choice!). As an aside, the 760+ score is the 99th percentile - meaning that 99% of Test Takers never score that high on the Official GMAT. Thankfully, NO Business School requires that you earn a score that high - so it's important to realize that the score that you "want" and the score that you "need" are not the same thing. While there is no harm in taking the GMAT as scheduled, you would likely save some time, money and frustration by paying the rescheduling fee and moving back that Test Date.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

I can study for 15 hours per week
2nd mock was taken on 20th of April
Score - 550 Q 36 V 28
I took OG mocks
I will be applying in 2023 for 2024 Fall programs

I prefer Top B Schools such as Harvard , Stanford, Chicago Booth , Northwestern, Columbia Business School
If not these any of them in the top 20 would work out

Hi isamyakcjain

You can go through this article to understand the right way to prepare for GMAT.

https://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/202 ... L6b4hafmwA

OG may be a great source for solving GMAT like questions, however, it is definitely not the ideal way to prepare in your case. Moreover, you may find that the OG is a good option as a question bank but lacks detailed explanations for you to use for improvement. It’s always better to prepare with a definitive resource to help you learn concepts while formulating a consistent strategy to solve questions before practicing them from the OG. This way, your preparation will be a lot more structured, and the chances of you leaving gaps in your learning will be significantly less. Focus on improving the method you follow to solve questions because that's what stops people from scoring 700+. Furthermore, you may find that the MGMAT guides aren’t very helpful as they’re targeted more towards native speakers of English. As such, following a resource which focuses on the right methodologies becomes even more crucial.

As GMAT is an adaptive test, I suggest you to go with an online course as it helps you take adaptive quizzes and provides you all the content on a single platform. The best way to choose an online course is to check out the free trials of the courses out there and then choose the one which suits you the most. But make sure to choose the course which can help you with not only the concepts but also the application of concepts. And it would be even better if the course can help you with the study plan as it will help you be clear of what to study on any given day. You can check out the free trial of GMATWhiz and take a decision. It is a personalized course that comes with an integrated study plan and adapts the content in real-time on basis of your performance.

And I can definitely help you with the study strategy. GMAT is a test which focuses on application of concepts. So, you need to make sure that you learn not only the concepts but also their application. If you wish, you can schedule a call with me using the link below so that I can guide you in a better way.
