Age : 39 years
Education : M.Sc (Statistics), M.Tech (IIT Kharagpur)
Work Experience : 12 yrs. with one of the big four consulting company
International Work Experience : Out of total 12 years of exp. worked in US for 6 years.
MBA Goal : Career Switch, wanted to move into Strategy/Management Consulting.
Target Schools - Any top B school offering one year MBA program (Not interested into EMBA or PT MBA)
Based on my profile please suggest if it's really worth trying for an MBA this late in the career considering my age & work experience. Also, how some of these top B schools (INSEAD etc.) perceive candidates with similar profile.

Hi Yash,
Needless to say you have an excellent profile. MBA will definitely be worth it but at your age you should consider EMBA or PT MBA only, in my opinion. Besides, you're already working at the big 4 why not just switch to strategy/management right there? INSEAD is an excellent school but you may want to contact them and ask if they'd be willing to entertain your profile.
