I know that you're not going to want to hear this but I think you should reshoot the thing. They mention 5mb for a reason and if you are trying to skirt around that or not comply with the rules I think that's going to say a lot about you and it's not going to be positive, like you think you are above the law or something. I don't think you should submit bad quality either but just get things under time so that you are going to easily come in under 5 minutes and under 5mb. I'm not actually sure about the whole link situation but if that was acceptable, they would have just said send us a link and they would not have specified a file size.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. But i guess I found the answer. Youtube link is acceptable. Here is what they say in the application:

You are the author of your Life Story. Please create the table of contents for the book in the space provided or upload it as an attachment. We value creativity and authenticity and encourage you to approach this essay with your unique style. Alternative submission formats may include a slide presentation, links to pre-existing media (personal website, digital portfolio, YouTube, etc.), as well as visually enhanced written submissions.

Maximum file size is 5 MB. If you choose to submit a written Table of Contents, please limit your submission to 500 words or fewer. Multimedia submissions should be under 5 minutes.

Please limit multimedia submissions to under 5 minutes

So video size shouldn't be my concern anymore, and my video is under 5 minutes.

Thanks again for your response and please inform me if I misunderstood anything.

Regards.

I uploaded my video to my google one drive and submitted the link as my file was also above 5 MB. My brother did the same last year for his submission and we were both accepted so I think you will be fine with youtube.

Good luck :)

It was my understanding that the file you're linking to still needs to be under 5mb. Can anyone attest to the opposite?

Very cool, how is it? I've never actually heard of two family members going to the same program at the same time. That could either be heaven or hell.

So my brother is a current first year and I was accepted to start in 2018. I am waiting on my other school decisions before I make my final decision on where to go, but it would be interesting to be in the same program as my brother :)
