Always go with the safe business formal. If you want to be totally minimalist, those 2 things should suffice. Personally, I don't think it hurts to bring a padfolio or notepad with you though for jotting down notes. Inside that padfolio, never a bad thing to maybe carry an extra copy (or 2) of your résumé and a few business cards too.

Hi guys, I was going to have a chat with Director James on Thursday, but he can't make it, so I will have a chat with one of the admission officer tomorrow. I received the email before I submitted my application.
Does anyone have a similar situation as to chat - to know both parties better?
I submitted my application for Round 2 but have not received an interview invitation.
Will this be some kind of phone screening?

I am Siddharth,I would like to know whether any of you who have received an interview invites from India have it specifically mentioned in the mail to visit Mumbai/opt for skype etc for the interview.I have got a mail to register for the evnt but have not got any official interview invite as of yet.

I got the invite too. I wouldnt be taking that too seriously though. I think they would have just randomly sent the event invite. However thats my opinion. Any gmatclub members from last years experience can throw some light.

Even I got that event invite - even though I'm based in New Delhi :D

Done with my face to face interview with Kelly Wilson in Mumbai....more of a discussion...if you are confident and clear about what you want to do in your life and what your professional/personal life has been till day it would be an interesting and captivating discussion. So just relax and be honest....Its a wonderful experience....

What is your GMAT score?? Also do you have any clue as to what criteria has been used to invite us. Kelly told me that they assess interview separately and application separately. I therefore want to understand the basis of these calls.

I guess most R2 interviews are going on and some prospectives are already invited...should people (like me) wait for the interview invite or is it done? please throw some light anyone...quite anxious...!

As mentioned earlier, I did not get my invitation until 6 weeks after application submission, so please do not get discouraged =)

I have also got the invite for the event, but this is not a formal interview invite. More of a information session. What do you guys think?

Agree. This is just an invite for the event. Those who already have interview invites may interview then (I guess) but for others it's just another MBA Fair kind of an event.

Very few people seem to be active on this forum....26 Indians have been invited till now for interview....
Has everyone received an invite for the event on 18th or is that also for select few?
Is it ok for people outside Mumbai to not attend the event?

I guess its just select few for the event invite as well...I haven't got any! may be for applicants from Mumbai..but its very weird how the college is coming up with all this...For instance most of the Top colleges have a fixed date for interview invites as well.. it becomes so easy for the applicants to kill their time unlike the case here! Because there are people who get invited within two days after the application deadline and then there are some who get invites after six weeks...Nevertheless I am happy for those who have got interview invites (irrespective of the date) but it frustrates me as I have not got it yet or heard anything from school....and I don know if I should wait till March end for the invite!

There has been only set of invitation that has gone out in India ie the one that was sent out by Tepper on 9th Jan and there were only 26 slots open for booking in Mumbai. Also there was no option of interviewing on skype or any other city.....I don't know if there has been any other set of invitation....also, I am curious to know, what has been the basis for invite: there has to be some basis, it cant be random....

The funny part is that if its just an invitation for attending an MBA fair then for me and I am sure many of you its no point booking a flight to Mumbai,only if its a formal interview then it makes sense.Anyone still planning to go in spite of just the event invite.
