When you read this question, do you start thinking about Algebra? Sweet, skip that, and Plug In The Answers instead!

Okay, out of answer choices B, C, and D, which looks easiest to work with (with rare exception, start with B, C, or D since they typically give more information than A and E)?
I'll go with B.
Mar = 40
Jan+Feb+Mar = 120, so Jan+Feb = 80
and Mar+Apr+May+Jun = 200, so Apr+May+Jun = 160
Jan+Feb = 80, Mar = 40, and Apr+May+Jun = 160 ---> all the months = 80+40+160 = 280
280/7 = 46.7
Is that what we were looking for? Nope. Answer choice B is wrong.
Do we want something smaller or larger? Hmm, maybe not sure? Try D.
Mar = 50
Jan+Feb+Mar = 120, so Jan+Feb = 70
and Mar+Apr+May+Jun = 200, so Apr+May+Jun = 150
Jan+Feb = 70, Mar = 50, and Apr+May+Jun = 150 ---> all the months = 70+50+150 = 270
270/7 = 45
Is that what we were looking for? Yep!

Pro tip on Plugging In The Answers:
We tried B and it didn't work. And maybe we weren't so confident whether we needed something larger or smaller. We only needed to try D, anyway!! If D had been wrong but it got closer to being right than B had been, then we'd know we would need an even larger answer, so it would be E. If D had been wrong but it showed that we needed something between B and D, the only option would be C. If D had gotten even farther away from being the right answer, the only option would be A.
