The inlet pipe can fill the empty swimming pool in 8 hours, while the outlet pipe can empty the pool from full capacity in 12 hours. if both pipes are opened when the tank is 25% full, how many hours from there does it take for the tank to fill to 90% capacity ?

I am getting 16.2hrs, but that's not the answer. don't know what am I missing... SOS

15.6 hors?

1/8 - 1/12 = 1/T => T = 24 HOURS to fill up the tank fully.

We need to fill the tank from 25 % to 90 % so only 65% of the tank capacity.

That will take 0.65 x 24 = 15.6 hours
