Let no. of rows = r, and each row has n seats

question stem says, nr = 600,
to find out the value of n

(1) (n+1)r=624,
or, nr+r=624
or, r=24

so, n=600/24 = 25, Sufficient

(2) (n-1)=r,
Putting this back in equation nr=600, we get
n(n-1)=600,
n^2-n-600=0,
n=25,-24

no. of seats cannot be negative, so n=25, Sufficient
