well, if i may, i'm going to disagree with you. just a tiny little bit.
i think that the point of the career centre is to prepare you for recruiting. and rotman does an amazing job at that. your career coach knows you well, your story and your background, and you can see them as often as you like (as i have). they help you tailor your story to your career aspirations, help you with your resume and your cover letter... hell, your career coach even looks over your cold call emails to make sure you're saying the right things.
i just don't think that it's in their power to get more employers on campus, or that it's their fault that there aren't as many on campus recruiters as we would all like. they're doing a good job of attracting the top firms (if you're into consulting, all the top consulting firms recruit here). it's just that there's not 350 positions on campus, and it sucks.
