The applicant pool to McCombs this year was extremely talented and intelligent. Please continue to be patient, the Admissions Committee will look to admit waitlisted candidates on a rolling basis and you should monitor your email regularly as the Admissions Committee will ask you for updates to the application when it comes back under review.

Thanks McCombsStudent. I've really appreciated your posts on this forum.

I have done a few things to bolster my resume and application. From your post I take it I should hold onto that information and not proactively send it to the Admissions Committee, right? Just wait for an e-mail when my app is being re-reviewed?

I will also be going abroad for several weeks in June and when I come back stateside will have a new address. I imagine this is something I should update proactively. Is that correct? How/when is the best way to do that? When I do update my address could I then add the information I am saving above or *only* give my resume/app update if/when I am asked for it?

Because the admissions officers receive so much information, it is best to wait until they reach out to provide most additional information. That said, a couple things like improved test scores or job promotions/increased responsibilities may be proactively sent.

As to your address change, I believe this may be something you can do in your admissions profile. If not, you will be contacted by email or telephone before anything is sent through the mail, so there will be an opportunity to change your address at that time.

Yeah scroll to the bottom of your admissions profile page, there's an opportunity for you to edit your address.

Hey admins of the group,

I am not sure with my status of the application. There was a confusion where my gmat score was not linked to me in Mccombs records. I still find my status "Incomplete". Round 2 applicants - is there anyone with under review status yet?
By when can I expect my application, status,to change.

Wait.. what?

All the round two applications have had their decisions made.

san2310 - Did you mean to say R3?

If you are a R2 applicant, you should contact McCombs directly about your status. If you meant R3, just hold on tight. The status updates can take some time (several weeks in some cases).

@braminc,
thanks for the information. I have sent them an email regarding this confusion.
For others, I do know that Mccombs is no way connected to gmatclub. The query was posted as some students from Mccombs were active in the forum.
Thanks

hey..I am a waitlisted R2 applicant, after interview. I mailed them a week back regarding any updates on my status. This is the reply I got

"An email will be sent to all waitlisted candidates approximately one week prior to the review period so there is plenty of time to collect materials for submission in the event that we request it. This information includes: a new resume if you’ve recently been promoted, an additional letter of recommendation or a new GMAT score. In general, the best advice for our waitlisted candidates is to be patient."

Just got a "Waitlist Update Request." Anybody else get one of these?

The specific questions it asks are:
Are you still interested in attending the Texas MBA program? If so, where on your list of preferred schools does the Texas MBA fall?
Do you have any offers from other schools? If so, which schools are they and have they offered you any scholarships?
Please briefly clarify your career goals. Do you have a back-up plan?

The email appears to be aimed at multiple recipients from the rest of the verbiage. I was just curious if this is what they are sending to everyone or if the career goal question was something specific to my application.

I didn't get one either.

Sounds like a good sign for getting off the waitlist.

Did everyone on the waitlist get an e-mail asking about interest in the school and career goals? I just sent them the answers to those questions in letter form yesterday.
