If you're like me, you didn't get a call but received an email saying the status changed on your application and to accept/reject your place on the waitlist. It SEEMS there are some changes in the WL game than years past: in the letter it didn't tell us not to contact them. Rather, it told us to wait until mid-Jan for our WL Manager (now abbrev WM) contact info to be released. I assume we won't need to do anything until then. "When will I receive an update regarding my application status? The Admissions Committee will be rendering admit and deny decisions on a rolling basis between January and August. Guys, when does Kellogg get back on who your WL manager is? I am an R2 waitlister, and they said they'd get back by 3 weeks or so (on the status page). Should I go ahead and ask the committee when they might do this?

Don't! Let them get back to you which they will after the time they mentioned.

All, I'm out. Received my update yesterday, ~24 hours after I spoke with my WL manager for a quick 10 min chat. She mentioned there were current no questions / additional items at that time. It must've been a good R2 for them. I also read that apps were up 10% this year over last. Good luck to everyone with their programs, Kellogg or other!

Hey all, I'm a Kellogg 1st year and former waitlister. For those of you still awaiting decisions--I know what you're going through. I was a 1st round applicant last year and got accepted (finally) on 5/7. A shocking number of the most talented folks I know at Kellogg were WL'ers, and one was accepted very late in the summer. I didn't really do much of anything to promote myself off of the list last year, but YMMV. I was really frustrated this time last year, but have ended up extremely pleased with the final outcome. At the end of the day, nobody cares how/when you get admitted. If anyone has any questions or wants to chat after getting a final outcome, feel free to PM me.

Thanks for sharing your experience Zomba and congrats on your eventual admit. It's amazing how trying the process can be but I'm working on changing my mindset which is helping. I think the hardest part is not knowing what to tell family and friends when they ask where you're going to school. Onward!
