Don't worry. I bet you're making it seem much worse in your head than it was in actuality. Plus,
remember that many people are probably very nervous during these things (I mean who had done anything exactly like this before???). So rest assured that if the rest of your application is strong you will find yourself getting an interview.

Where there any particularly difficult questions they asked that threw you off? What were your questions?

Best of luck!

Thanks for the encouraging words. For me, it wasn't the questions but the short time to gather your thoughts. My reply to the first question was bad but got the hang of it for the other 2. I would advice others to practice using their system multiple times before doing the real deal.

agreement on a policy, ideal leader, teamwork example

silly question but is there a dress code for videos? (e.g. suit and tie for guys?) I was just going to wear a dress shirt but figured I might as well ask.

Sitting in my living room in a suit and tie seemed like it would feel weird, so I went with a sweater. The other option was a silk robe with an ascot and a pipe. The sweater narrowly won.

In for R2! Good luck with everyone who is also applying!

One question: for the video questions, where I can practice with the actual interface that SOM use? I think the most important thing is getting used to the 1 minute time frame and the interface.

Thanks a lot!

Once you log into the system you get a few practice runs. I think ~2 or so. It's really more than enough, it's not that complicated.

I wore a shirt and tie with a jacket (to give the appearance I was wearing a suit) with sweatpants.

Scofield050 got it right, but I'd like to add that you can practice additional questions if you really need it. When you're done with the two practice questions, you'll have an option to do still more practice or start with the 'real' questions.

Kind of bombed the video essays :( Anyone know how much it weighs in the decision?
Don't worry, I didn't even know what one of the words meant. Essentially they said "Do you agree with X or Y" and my initial response was, "Well, I don't know what X means, so..."

Agreement on a policy seems to be a hit in the video questions.
I am yet to give mine. Can someone please elaborate on the question.

Ended up going with a dress shirt and blazer.

Anyway the questions weren't bad but my biggest piece of advice is pick a simple answer and articulate it well. I went for complicated and got lost in my response and wasn't too happy at the end of it.

Just done with the video essays:
Following were the questions:

1. What is the biggest challenge facing leaders today?
2. What was the unique or creative solution you created ... do not remember exactly.
3. It has been said that universities have a responsibility to prepare students for the workforce. Do you agree or disagree and why?

All the best to all!!
