It’s Eileen Chang from the MBA Admissions board. Happy New Year to you. The Round 2 application submission deadline was this past Tuesday, January 6 and I wanted to give you an update on where we stand in the admissions process. We have begun reviewing Round 2 applications and we now have a more complete picture of the applicant pool for the Class of 2017. As a result, we have been able to make decisions on a number of you on the waitlist. About 20 people were admitted off of the waitlist this week and have already been notified of their admission. We have also made decisions to release some of you from the waitlist so that you do not have to wait longer than necessary and may pursue other plans. Those being released from the waitlist will receive notification via email from me sometime tomorrow. This is all the activity we anticipate for now from the waitlist during the month of January. I will be in touch again with another update to the entire group in early February. In the meantime, please remember to keep your contact information updated in our system, and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience.

Has anyone received a call or email this month? Are we all expecting WL movements in Mar or there might be some in Feb as well...?

It’s Eileen Chang from HBS with a February update for everyone on the waitlist. We are moving forward with Round 2, and have finished extending interview invitations this week. Interviews begin next week and continue through the first week of March. During this time we have also continued to review applicants on the waitlist. Last week we began making offers to another small group of people (about 10) from the waitlist. Those decisions are being communicated by phone by either myself or Dee. Next week, we also expect to release some candidates to give those people the ability to pursue other plans. The release decisions (about 15-20) will be done via email through our application system. After next week, we don’t anticipate any further waitlist activity until after all Round 2 interviews have been completed in March.
