I am just paranoid now haha. You sound like a solid candidate and always heard that there is a very high acceptance rate among people who get invited to interview ED. I have two more long days until mine and then the long wait begins...

I know what you mean. I'm sure this is just one of those scenarios that people refer to when they say there's some randomness to who actually gets selected (although I never really believed that). Good luck with your process!

I'm confused with the invites. How come those who applied in September and October, probably fewer than those who applied at the deadline, took about a month to get interviews while some people who applied at the deadline heard back in two weeks.

Does this mean that others who applied near deadline are out of luck? Maybe they filled many spots early on? Any idea of how this makes sense?

Pure speculation but my guess would be the people that heard back real fast had something stand out and weren't a very controversial candidate. Therefore, CBS may want to get a commitment out of them before HBS and Wharton start giving admission or interview invites. Total speculation.

I guess that could make sense. It would be interesting to know if people who applied near the ED deadline who didn't apply to Harvard or UPenn got an interview. I think schools can see who you've sent your GMAT too. Could also be a driving factor

Mine changed about an hour after I got the phone call from the adcom. She mentioned on the call that she would update my status and I got an email an hr later alerting me it had changed.

I'm not saying they know that people applied to those schools. I'm just saying i think the process went like this.

Candidate A

Reviewer 1 - Yes, interview
Reviewer 2 - Yes, interview

Interview invite sent in roughly 2 weeks

Candidate B

Reviewer 1 - No, Ding
Reviewer 2 - Yes, Interview

Goes to committee where they discuss or possibly a 3rd reviewer

Interview invite sent 4 weeks or a ding.

Damn got a ding as well. It was a reach but it was my top choice and was hoping the ED might help me. Applied on 10/1. Good luck to the rest of you.

Is there a pattern in terms of when final decisions come out post-interview (ex., acceptance calls are usually soon after, dings are closer to the 2 week time frame)? My interview feedback was submitted on 10/13 and I haven't heard anything yet...

I received an automated email titled "Columbia Business School: Interview Feedback has been received". I think the interviewer has two days to submit it post-interview.
