Yup..thats true..btw how many applicants for 1year MBA program? I can see only about 30 applicants on decision tracker when the seats are around 130-140..I too have applied for 1Y program under rolling round 3.

Is it worth applying to round 3/rolling this year...will there be more or less competition/admit rates?

I was under the impression schools typically reserve round 3 for exceptional talent

would i still be eligible for in aid for incoming next year? And what is kellog's deferrment policy?

Has any R1 or R2 denied applicants who submitted an appeal heard back?

I sent my appeal on April 27th, but haven't heard any news yet.

pdr0724 I attended a Q&A webinar today and ad com people suggested that they are reviewing R3 candidates and it is reasonable to assume that those who applied after April 8th will hear back after May 13th (decision release date for R3). So, I would assume that both appealers and extended R3 applicants should be patient and wait a couple of weeks.

After making an admit decision on May 13th, the school will know how many more people they might need based on the number of remaining seats and the estimate of how many people might reject the admits by the deposit due date (May 27th). Also, some people might ask for deferrals too, increasing the number of available slots.

The ad com confirmed that they do not anticipate to invite for interviews all applicants from extended R3.

I guess the best thing everyone can do is just to be patient and wait for some news. Good luck to everyone!

I'm still mulling applying. I sent out the forms to my reccomenders, but have had them wait

I think my app will be as good as it gets in Round 3, but I'm worried about the financial aspect and admit rate? can someone comment on what Kellog has been saying?

gabagolemafia in the Q/A webinar that I attended, ad com people said that they do not disclose admit rates for round and programs (1Y, MMM, and 2Y). Also, they said that they are not anticipating any changes to cost of tuition unless a significant amount of curriculum will be delivered online.

Safe assumption that admit rates will be low relative to R2 and R1 but hey can’t hurt to try!

actually on poets and quants its pretty damn close to the first two rounds in kelllog UNLIKE other schools where R3 is usually 1/3 the admit rate

With covid i think less itnernational applicants as well...meaning higher admit rates domestically?

Good question. I guess nobody really knows. If embassies reopen in summer, I do not see why most internationals won't be able to relocate to the US. I am an international applying from within the US and would have to figure out the visa situation if I get an admit.

I've found myself wondering for a few weeks whether or not this would be a singularly attractive time to get an MBA for a domestic applicant ... if a school admits someone who cannot attend, their yield drops ... not good. Yet, if they admit someone who normally would never have earned admission to their school, the odds that person accepts their unicorn admission goes up, as does the school's yield ... which is good.

This will be well analyzed in future years.

Other schools are offering delays by a few months, deferrals, or so, but Kellogg is still planning to operate in whatever format by July/aug/sept, which is very risky and almost too soon.

Any news on whether they’ll revisit these start dates or are they 100% confirmed?

I completed my video interview on May 1st and all recommendations were submitted May 3rd. I requested an off campus interview, but still have not received it. When do you think I will receive an interview? Another question- do you think Kellogg Extended R3 admits will be considered for need-based financial aid?
