looks like Kellogg will allow rejected candidates from R1 and R2 to appeal? And for waitlisted candidates to have their applications evaluated without test scores. With such a big class, do you guys think they are desperate enough to fill it?

Don't quite understand as all the candidates on the Waitlists do have test scores because they're R1 and R2 apps

probably because it would be unfair for R3 candidates to apply without test scores, and you got waitlisted maybe BECAUSE of your test score. So they're at least trying to be fair and transparent. But it's a huge sign they won't be able to fill their large class size

My test scores GMAT and GRE are what is best for me lol.

Has anyone who applied for R3 overseas (Asia) received an interview yet?

Had heard that everyone receives an interview, but received an email that it can take up to 4 weeks to pair people for off-campus?

Yes that is accurate. They will try to pair you up... Just have to wait now. I applied in 3rd round and got an interview match at the same day, but I am from Brazil. Maybe that helped, I did with a alumni (graduated in 2005 i think...)
Good luck!

Does anyone know what the instructions to appeal a rejection is? Do we just send a letter of intent to the general MBA email? The website has updated the wording to: "by April 30" but I haven't received any emails clarifying the proper procedures.

Hi. One of my friend (Indian) submitted his app on 8th April and got video essay on 10th April. He got the I terview invite the following weekday.

However as per the policy, you can definitely receive an interview with in 4 weeks of time interval.

Hope it helps.

just submitted for rolling admission yesterday.

and today, got 2 separate email to schedule interview, and video interview.

Is that normal thing? I'm curious because I applied past r3

Kellogg, as per their admission policy, tries to interview as many people as possible.

Hi guys,

Has Kellogg extended the timeline for MBA 2020 intake?

Could you please elaborate? By timeline you mean the course start date or date of submitting application for Kellogg School of management?

If this is what was meant, the answer is yes for MMM and 1Y. Classes starting in July instead of June. 2Y is still normal start in August.

Hi, I replied also in the waitlist thread. In case you haven't seen, I sent an email to adcom last week and they said they will roll out shortly the process, they haven't really given me any detail though.

I would expect a new announcement or an email these days.

The deposit due date for R2 admits is this week. Once that passes, there should be much more clarity on the admissions side as to how many spots they need to fill. That being said, I would expect them to look at:

1) Waitlist applicants from R1 and R2
2) Their R3 applications to get a sense of how much the numbers have increased from normal years
3) R1 and R2 rejected candidates who appeal. This could move up if you are a diversity candidate and they have a need there.

As has been said here earlier, Kellogg has said they will not allow international students to defer. Not sure how that will impact yield / will depend on the stance taken by other programs. If others are more open to deferrals for international students, that would be a strong negative on Kellogg in my opinion.

Do people think they’re actually struggling to fill the class with what they perceive to be adequate candidates? So much confusion

They have about 150 international students that have been admitted. I believe the concern is increasingly that they will either 1) Not be able to get visas and come in time for August or 2) Have concerns about studying outside of their home countries given the new environment and challenges arising from it.

Given the number of frankly unprecedented announcements Kellogg has made in terms of waiving various requirements, looking at rejected candidates, extending deadlines, it seems quite likely that they are having trouble, as otherwise these are all quite brand dilutive to do just for the hell of it

I have submitted my application last week, completed video essay on Monday. But nothing on interview yet.
Does anyone hear have an idea as to how many international students are they really looking for in rolling R3?
I have submitted the app without GMAT score, am not sure if I would ever get a visa also since Mr. Trump is planning on a immigration ban for next 3-6 months in US.
