Hi guys, Wanted to hear from the group if anyone has heard whether Covid-19 is having a significant impact on drop out or deferral rates for the IESE's MBA intake? I have emailed to ask them but I am yet to hear anything back. I'm still planning on going but am nervous at the idea that the class will be significantly emptier given the current economic climate. Thanks!

Knelle87 - yes I have applied already and have been accepted I was just wondering as I am yet to confirm my place and am worried Covid-19 implication mean the class will be a lot emptier :/ To give some further context - I have also been admitted to LBS. IESE is my first choice (as I'm originally from London and think the MBA experience will be richer and more horizon-broadening studying abroad) but am concerned Covid-19 implications mean it might make more sense staying closer to home...

IMO, Many students will not be able to attend the classes initially though it is highly unpredictable right now. Already, many schools across the globe are getting ready to conduct classes online for the entire 1st semester (that's just a possibility though) because they predict that many students might not be able to make it to classes physically because of the expected travel bans and visa issues.

My humble advice this is the best time to go for an MBA. Usually, the economy downturn is a right timing to do MBA, or any other professional qualifications After economy will pick it up in 2,3 years - companies will hire fresh brains from top MBA schools I have an offer from LBS, and waiting to hear back from IESE. Hi everybody! Hope everybody is doing well with this Covid situation. I applied for R3 and still waiting admission decision. In regards to Covid situation, as far as I am concerned the online classes are working really well and their quality are hardly affected. However, I am also concerned with the fact that many international students may reject their place due to this uncertainty. On the other hand, I totally agree with Knelle87 about the perfect timinig of stuyding an MBA during an economic recession. Cheers
