Sorry but I would not trust your numbers unless shared by INSEAD directly, seems unrealistic, even if say, 100 people, deferred from 21J to 21D (seems quite unlikely), still 270 people got selected in R1?¿? We are talking about INSEAD, with 3 large (maybe decreasing, but not so much) rounds and a small 4th one, simple math logic does not add.
The second and stronger point is that it is your first message since you registered almost two years ago, maybe you are right but being your first message ever it is unlikely.
There is also the possibility that 21D batch is extremely large because of Covid delays, but I certainly do not see that from what US programs have been sharing recently regarding their 22' classes.

The chances are low for us. Many people of 21J Class postponed their entry for January 21. The January class is almost full.
Any source for this information? INSEAD isn't clarifying much on this. But I honestly do foresee this considering an October vs. January start option, I would certainly defer.
Posted from my mobile deviceI know this because I have a friend who was accepted for intake Sept 20 and he postponed it. Moreover, he told me the D21 class has 370 people accepted and confirmed.
370 people out of 500 in R1!
