Chandrahaskrishna - Do you know anything about this?

In my room, there are 2 doors. One, the door to the main house, and the other, the door to the balcony. The balcony door actually has 2 doors (the inner opaque one, and the outside mesh one for air circulation). Is it okay if I keep the inner opaque one open for ventilation? Else the room gets very hot. But I'm worried if it's allowed. The outer mesh one remains closed, and is not in the line of sight of my work station.

I don’t think that should be a problem... You’ll have to upload the pictures of your exam environment right before the exam. If the environment is not fine with the proctor, he/she would ask you to change a few things... So, it shouldn’t be a problem in my view..

Hello folks!
Is there any update or any discussion on any forum regarding retakes? I’m very curious and am waiting for that decision from GMAC... I’m hopeful that there will be a decision this week, as the previous deadline, i.e., 14th of August is just 12 days away, and GMAC has always given out updates just before the deadlines...

Posted from my mobile device

Hi! GMAC has extended the deadline till december 31.... Via twitter someone asked GMAC and the guy of gmac said that the company was analising...

Fingers crossed too

Any idea about retaking the GMAT online? Now that its allowed till December?

One attempt only. I tried to let GMAC allow me for another attempt because of limited commutation but they refused.

Hi guys, I have an online gmat in 2 days, was wondering if you are allowed to keep water on your desk and have it during the test (without asking the proctor)?

Also, are you allowed to keep eatables (like chocolates) in the room to have it during the 5 minute break? I could not find this explicitly written anywhere, so any info will be very helpful. Thanks

You can have the water on the table and have it anytime. However, edibles are not allowed on table. You can have it in your room and eat during the break but not during the test. I explicitly asked it before the test. Proctor will call you before starting the test to take a look around and ask you a set of questions.

We can't have water during test only during break right?

Water- Keep it with you all the time, no problem. Have it anytime, no problem.

Edibles- Can't keep with you. Have only in breaks. Proctor asked me to remove them from the table, where the system was. I then kept them (Snickers) on a different table (bed behind me) in the same room, no problem.

You should also make sure that the drinkable liquid you keep in a transparent container should be clear. That is, if there appear to be added some colored powders, you will most likely not be allowed to keep it with you during the test. Breaks are another matter.

Yeah, that should be the case, if I’m not wrong.. You’ll have to wait for the 16 day minimum to take another attempt...

It's usually there before 30 min of exam start time. So wait for 30 more min.

It’s advisable that you run your system scan once. The ‘Begin exam’ tab will appear 30 min before your exam. To avoid any last minute issues, I suggest that you run your system scan now..
All said and done, Good luck and all the best!!
