Hello Everyone,my question is for Indian Admitted students: Since embassies are closed and with todays news of US consulates getting affected and 2 died, scope of them operating at normal pace seems to be rare, so are you people going to defer or what ?

Hey! Berkeley HaaS doesn’t have any definite qualifiers for their FTMBA program per say. As long as you have a strong application, you will be considered at par with other applicants. My suggestion would be to work hard at getting a great GMAT/GRE score so that your GPA doesn’t push you into the waitlist/rejected pile. Also, if your essays are aspirational and the AdCom connects with it, you might just get lucky! :)

Hi tramqb, You can take a look at factors considered by HAAS when evaluating a candidate’s profile. This will instill the right confidence in you. The average GMAT score for HAAS is 725, and I suggest you focus on your GMAT and aim for a score of 725 or higher to maximize your chances. Eventually, it’s going to be about how well you bring out your personality on paper and showcase how well it matches the values of HAAS. I’m delighted to hear your story and would love to guide you. You can book a slot with me to discuss your further chances at the b-school.

Cheers!

Hello everyone!

Two questions: 1. Where can I find the links to attend mock classes? I can’t find them anywhere on the website.

2. Does anyone know if we can improve our odds of being pulled out of the waitlist by visiting the campus during Covid times? I asked but got no direct response on that question from the AdCom...

1. They said they won’t be conducting any more mock classes for this year.

2. Doubt it.

Hey bud, to improve your odds, the best that you can do right now is looking at a particular weakness in your application and try and fill that gap. Also, if you’re really dedicated to getting admitted to the school, do speak to experts and current students about it, they are the ones who understand the school best. Else, you can look into this thread. There are some tips on waitlist management.

I was admitted to Haas R2, and they told us that we could visit campus, but wouldn’t be allowed access into any buildings, so I don’t think visiting campus would have any bearing, especially if they are still not allowing non-students access to buildings. Best of luck to you!
