She told me the same date too. They got more applications than expected and so the results are delayed. I assume that's the reason for their super quick interviews too. I had a call for just 20 minutes, which is the case with other applicants too.
Seems this will be an extremely competitive year if the applications have doubled.

Fuuuuuck. As someone without a stellar profile (670 GMAT, 3.1 GPA, only 4 years of WE upon matriculation), this is nerve wracking for me. I wonder how the numbers skew for international applicants vs domestic. As a Canadian applicant I’m interested to see what the class profile ends up like.
congratulations once again to those of you that have gotten in. Please i would love to see some sample Admitted essays...if you don't mind sharing, kindly send to

Hey guys! I'm happy to say that I've been invited to the MBA class of 2023 at Rotman, everyone in this forum were super helpful and I'd be happy to give back wherever I can to current applicants.

I had a question regarding the Reference Questionnaire. Does anyone know if these are the questions which our professional references will be asked? (Found this on clearadmit.com and wondering as to the accuracy):
Quote:
1. How long have you known the applicant and in what capacity? 2. List three to five attributes or characteristics that best describe the candidate (single words only, no sentences please). 3. Of the qualities listed above, in which areas has the applicant distinguished himself/herself most? 4. What would you consider the applicant’s primary area for improvement or growth? 5. How would you rate the applicant’s potential for becoming a successful business leader? 6. Please provide your overall recommendation in the text field below.

I asked this to the Adcom member I was in touch with. She said it will be competitive this year due to deferrals and suggested me to apply by Round 1. But I believe even number of applications has increased, adding to the competition. IMO, R2 could be the really competitive one for internationals though.

I don’t think Rotman allowed deferrals this year. But a 100% increase in applications is hard to fathom and will definitely make this the most competitive year. Still I am unable the understand the reasons for such a huge spike.

Right, Rotman didn't allow deferrals. What she said was that we have told the admitted candidates to reapply this year and we have no reason to reject them since we selected them last year. I'm not really sure of the 100% increase, but an increased number of applications is the reason for delayed decisions is what I was told.
Congrats to the admitted people.
I just wanted to know if you guys got a call from the Rotman Adcom or was it a mail?
Posted from my mobile device
I received a call. However, I know people from India who received mail as well. So its6 both.
