If you’ll look at the application form closely, there’s no option to upload an essay - it’s text boxes which don’t retain/require any formatting.

Please select need-based scholarship. There aren’t any criteria at all and quite frankly you have nothing to lose. If you apply for the need-based scholarship you will also be considered for the merit-based scholarship. Recall Darden has about 5-10 million USD in their kitty to sway prospective students to their school. All is in a bid to improve their rating in the b-school ranking. I hope I have answered your question.

Please select need-based scholarship. There aren’t any criteria at all and quite frankly you have nothing to lose.
