Question for the R2 candidates selected for interviews. I received an email to register for a "Students Insights Panel and Networking" for R2 interview candidates. I tried registering on the "My Application" page but can’t see the event there. Anyone facing the same issue? Is anyone able to register?

I had a similar issue only to check my mail & discovered I was registered already.

R2 applicant here, I am attending just in case.

Schools are definitely looking to see who is interested in their programs. Better safe than sorry.

Hi. I asked the admission and it will not have any influence on your admit, but feel free to attend one.

outside the admission input, the fact that you’re invited to the school interview means that everyone who will attend the event will have 50~70% chance to be an admit of the school. They’re your future classmates.

Since business schools usually have 40~60% admit-to-attend yield, schools will have events like this in order to lure more admitted students into the class; this event in particular will have a good impression to those who are interested in networking with more people.

These are not random people you’re talking to. they’re future business leaders, future MBBs, future PE/VC partners that the school selected for you in order for you to have a better MBA experience even before class starts. Up to you to attend, but I wouldn’t go there to ’have a good impression on admissions

I see that Mccombs have 726 admits, including 242 attendants and 96 defer, from 2020;~46.6% yield at max. Keep in mind that you’re interviewing the school at same time they interview you!

Hi All! Does McCombs give out admits / deny decisions on a rolling basis or will they all come out on the decision day (24th March)? Also, question for R1 admits with scholarships - does the scholarship decision come along with the admit or later on?

Unless I’m reading Mccombs website wrong, the school has "Decision Delivered" date. You might want to ask questions that are not on the the school website here/other forums!

What do you mean 3 year undergrad? 3rd year in college, or 3 YoE post undergrad?

Most B-schools in US will require you to have minimum 2-3 years of experience, unlike India. If the school has no minimum, the school will unlikely take you without experience. It’s like GMAT waiver- you have to show outstanding profile elsewhere, but where if you do not have work experience?
