I attended an information session today and they said they would tell us in mid-march which sounded completely incorrect. Also apparently since this year the entire course is on Roosevelt island they weren’t able to tell us if the program would start in early or late June. Overall, this year there might be some last minute surprises.

How does everyone feel about the 1 year MBA in this **** bear of a tech market for recruiting? I’m a bit hesitant due to the MBA recruiting market. My gut tells me a 2 year MBA may be better for individuals that have the option as far as recruiting goes... Obviously, everyone has their own unique circumstance, experience, & ideal post MBA goal, but for me, personally, a 2 year MBA may be better solution. Who knows?

I feel that: 1. Companies are right-sizing the pandemic induced over-hiring; and profitability is a focus now. Consumer startups are the hardest hit as they now need to move from growth to profitability mode. 2. By the time we graduate in mid ’25 these corrections will have been done, placing us in a good position. Post consolidation in the market, the cycle of (sustainable)growth will be starting again, hence the market will create jobs. 3. Finally, in Tech, need for good talent will always be there. All PM leaders I have been talking to, feel the same; and I would index on this myself. Those would be my 2 cents.
