I’ve been in these shoes and please accept my sincerest regrets about anything for any school. The time invested the emotions the expectations and the prospects all going up in flames with just one email is very cruel. I know it’s a tough day in a tough hour to be asking for anything, but perhaps it is also a very relevant hour as well. Do you have any suggestions how to handle dings on the
decision tracker?
I didn’t mean to put you on the spot, but we have struggled with this challenge for years and will continue to struggle with that. Any suggestions or help or pointers or even gut reactions would be super helpful and appreciated.
Posted from my mobile device Don’t worry, don’t feel put on the spot at all! Sadly I think that selection bias is always something you/we as candidates are going to struggle with. As a R2 applicant I appreciate it when people update their statuses just because it helps me gauge myself vs the crowd. I will definitely do mine either way, but I think really the only way to solve the problem would be to have a direct connection to the business school that could automatically adjust statuses, but frankly I doubt that’d ever work in reality.
The only thing i’d suggest is to just make sure that people looking at the decision trackers are aware of the selection bias - beyond that I think GMATClub can’t do much more.
