Hey Nikhil, in addition to my regular recommender, I have asked an Alumni to fill out the reference form for me, and he did. Will this be an advantage for me?
The person is the country head of an Oil and Gas company ( ExxonMobil), and he was my client.
Did your second recommender fill out the GMAC form and sent it to the adcoms? If yes, probably that was an overkill but still won't hurt your chances and help your candidacy. The best practice is to have a short note or a paragraph be sent direct to the adcoms by your alumni recommender, highlighting your top qualities and context of the relationship. Anyway, it would help your candidacy and the coming week would clear that to you further.

Then what's the concern? Ofcourse it'll help your candidacy given alum has written nothing cautionary.

Nikhil, Ross admissions has shared this message with the round 2 applicants:
