Hello all,

During R2, I was placed on a waitlist. Since then, I have received a job offer from a Fortune 500 company and will begin working there soon. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to provide an updated resume because of this.

However, I still want to inform the admissions committee of my new employment status. Would it be appropriate to share my offer letter (which may be considered confidential) with the school, or is it sufficient to simply inform them of the job title and position?

Hi itsmanjaa

You can share the details of the offer with the school. Also, for updating your resume, you can always put in the new role in the resume and mention the month you will be starting. The school will understand.

what did you do? did you send them any updates?

i did a few things. 1. I told them i would 100% accept an offer if they extended me one despite my acceptances to other schools. 2. I attended a club event for the career path i was interested in and 3. i did a campus visit/class visit even though i had already done one when i interviewed. i emailed the school and told them about #2 and #3 in an email after the class visit

i also asked an alumni to submit a "shape the class" recommendation but i don’t think it was sent before my decision was released

I think it’s better to inform adcom, but in a polite and diplomatic manner. I included it in my update essay, and explained why I would still opt for Booth if given an offer
