Hi, probably too late to answer this but I asked the same question to the adcom, so here’s what I learned :
(I was admitted on Dec 15 and I was offered a scholarship a week later)
- The 2 HEC scholarships (Forte & Diversity/Excellence etc) : Evaluated by HEC, reserved for each round, and the result was out 1 week after the admission.
- L’Oreal : This scholarship is for only 1 person (of all rounds) so it’s harder to get. (Adcom told me that it’s better to focus more on HEC scholarship essays.) Result will be out only in September at the beginning of the semester. It seems that this scholarship is evaluated by external team.
As for the overlapping contents, I asked the same question since it’s a long essay of 1,500 words (NOT 1,500 characters) for each of the 3 scholarships. They told me “I encourage you to be yourself throughout the application process. It’s okay if some information overlaps, just make sure you tailor the essay to the prompt and most of all the Scholarship itself - research the scholarship’s aim, the values, etc. ”
Some of the contents were overlapping in my 3 essays, but I tried to write from different angles, emphasizing different value for the 3 essays (diversity, innovation, etc…) – I was only offered one of the scholarships so maybe it wasn’t the best strategy xD I hope it helps !

Thanks for this! Unfortunately I do not come from a quant background (liberal arts, social sciences) and currently work in advertising, which is why I'm slightly worried. In my quant courses during college I got good grades, but not amazing ones (B+, which were with strict professors who only hand out A- at max- but ofc admissions doesn't know this). I did mention in my essays that I'm looking to strengthen my quant base and talked about why HEC in particular is good for that, but hopefully my overall academics can convince I'd be a good student (I have a good GPA). At this point, all I can do is cross my fingers...[/quote]
Let's hope for the best! As long as you are a good student and your LoR's support that, I don't see why not. MiM in particular is "less" quant-focused than their MiF, so you are more than likely fine.[/quote]
Ahh thanks! I'm an Indian candidate so I'm understandably still very nervous because of the Indian overrepresentation, but there's nothing else to do except wait, I guess. I just got an email saying my application has been passed to the admissibility jury, so hoping for the best!
