We have compiled the following list of questions based on feedback from applicants who availed our mock interview services and attended their virtual interviews for ISB’s Round 1 admissions today.
1. Why did you decide to join a Data Analytics company after completing an undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering?
2. You mentioned working on the commercial rollout of a Generative AI project at your firm. How did you demonstrate its proof of value to the client?
3. You stated that you developed a system to scrape data from the web. In your opinion, is this an ethical practice? Why or why not?
4. How do you envision Generative AI impacting your long-term goal of becoming an education entrepreneur?
5. Why are you considering an MBA at ISB instead of joining an EdTech company directly?
6. Do you currently lead a team as part of your professional responsibilities? If yes, please elaborate.
7. What is one thing you like about your current firm and one thing you would change?
8. On a scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate your leadership skills? Please explain your reasoning.
9. Share an example of a conflict you faced at work and how you managed to resolve it.
10. What unique perspective do you believe you will bring to classroom discussions at ISB?
11. If your short-term goal is to become a Product Manager (PM), and you are already performing similar responsibilities as a pseudo-PM, why do you feel pursuing an MBA is necessary?
12. What challenges do you foresee in building and scaling your entrepreneurial venture in the long term?
13. You mentioned setting up a team from scratch at your current organization. What challenges did you face during this process, and how did you overcome them?
14. How does your approach differ when working as a solo contributor compared to leading a team?
15. Your application mentions specific electives in Healthcare. How do you plan to leverage the learning from these courses to achieve your goals?
16. Why did you stop pursuing your hobby of choreography after your undergraduate studies?

Note: The written essay topics were primarily based on 2 themes :
1. How will you resolve potential conflict between two team members / case study mates?
2. Do you own up for a mistake your committed at work, or let it pass under the radar hoping that the manager / client won't pick it up
