anyone got ERIC WANG as interviewer?

I searched him on linkedin & he appears to be a student from HSB. Is this common? I mean a student from another school interviewing candidates

Hey,
Just got done with my Ross interview with an alumnus. Overall, it was very conversational and lasted ~35 minutes; the interviewer seemed genuinely interested in my career, goals, and experiences. A lot of emphasis was placed on why I was considering Ross, how it would help me in my career, and my personal development. The list of questions can be found below:

1. Tell me about yourself
Standard resume walkthrough
Focus on career progression and key experiences

2. Why MBA? Why now?
Why do you want an MBA at this stage?
What gaps are you trying to fill?
How does an MBA fit into your career transition?

3. Short-term and long-term career goals
Short-term role and target companies
Long-term vision and impact

4. How will an MBA help you reach your long-term goals?

5. Why Ross?

6. How will Ross help your personal development (beyond career goals)?

7. What leadership skills do you want to improve, and how will Ross help you with them?

8. Tell me about a time you embraced diversity / worked with diverse teams

How you adapted and what you learned
Follow-up: What exactly did you do? (process-focused)

9. Tell me about a time you received constructive or critical feedback

10. Tell me about a time you had to manage conflicting priorities

Totally agree that it’s getting late in the cycle, but Ross did trickle out a few invites into late February last year, so I wouldn’t call it over yet. In the meantime I’m just polishing my Why Ross and goals narrative so I’m ready if it comes through.

For everyone here who’s (like me) not been invited yet, I have some bad news. I just received word from the admissions team. I’ll share the body of the text here:

Thank you for your email to Michigan Ross.

I can confirm that we received your Round 2 application and are reviewing it. If additional documentation is required, we will email you. If you were invited to interview, you would have received an email by January 28. We recommend double-checking your email spam folder.

If you were not invited to interview, you will see either a waitlist offer or deny decision in the Wolverine Access application status portal on the Round 2 decision release date of March 13, 2026. Waitlisted applicants who were not invited to interview will be re-reviewed for a possible interview invitation in the subsequent round. Instructions on accessing your decision will be emailed several days before the decision release date.

I would forget about Ross for now.

Not sure how true that is because this is what

Because this is what I received- "We are currently in the process of reviewing applications and do not provide status updates during the evaluation process."
