3. You have 72 hours to either accept or reject the offer, post which both the offer and admission will lapse.

promotion, higher test score, or competing offer. no one will give more aid due to just "financial need"

For the international students with no or meagre scholarships - please decide carefully before spending $200k.

I am a current student in USA & i can see very clearly how international students are struggling to get any meaningful internship/offers. A lot of career options like Investment banking, many boutique firms & tech companies are literally shut down for international students who need sponsorships.

Situation is gonna be severe in coming years - due to post war recession, AI & conservatism in USA. Political apathy towards immigrant can be felt & racism is on rise.

If you are having full ride or have savings of like $150k+ or belong to a rich family - you may still think but others the path is really very difficult.

Can you share some numbers of internationals unable to find a job? Which companies which were earlier open to internationals and are now closed in the tech sector?

From this year at Yale SOM & other top colleges - investment banking companies didn’t sponsored international students.
All the boutiques & startups too the same.

It boils down to either MBB or large tech companies - which has now increased competition. With AI, a lot of tech companies are also hiring less for entry level - they are clubbing roles & wanting experienced people. So changing industry is also difficult.

Also i have also heard there are stricter restrictions with current H1B visa - like you can’t go outside for specified months/years.

Moreover, F1 visa rejections for Indians are at an all-time high right now at 41%.

The other day, a female R1 applicant from Mumbai shared in a group that she received two consecutive rejections despite getting an 80% scholarship from Kellogg.
