Kindly increase the range of years in Applicant Profile->Education->Graduation Year so that it includes 1989.

I will be able to complete my profile, hopefully.

Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion. For now, put the lowest one there is. I am sorry we did not go that far back - you have definitely a year or two on most of us here :-)

BB,

Thanks for your reply.

A few suggestions on improving the editor in order to increase user speed.

1. Visual information such as graphs and images, which are great aid in explaining inequality problems through co-ordinate geometry.
Needless to say, figures are essential part in geometry. Although the on-line editor allows posting of images, it seems graphing tools are absent.
To support functions to draw line and circle would benefit users.

2. Overlapping set, Distance-speed-time and other time-rate word problems require tabulated data.
To make things better in Quantitative section, it would be great to see tools to insert rows and columns.

It so happen that the basic editor has all the above functions and I am not aware of the usage.
You may kindly guide users like me-- how to post graphs and quickly draw table using existing facility.

Once again, thanks for such a wonderful forum with tons of tips.

Gmatclub,
When applying to Business school I found this site very helpful so thank you. I am now a 2nd yr MBA at Tulane....I am preparing to take the CFA-I in June. I would love it if you guys started a forum for this test. I know it would be useful and will become the source of the most and best information available, just as it has for the gmat. More specifically you should split the forum into I, II, and III.

Thank you,
ChaChris1 (gmatclub login)

When I post a question, I do not see an option in the "source" section to specify that the question is self-made. I had to choose "others", and add a text along with the question to indicate that the question is self-made.

If many people are submitting their own questions to this forum, then it would make sense to classify the questions in a separate source category for the following reasons:
1) People can decide to ignore these questions (based on the source), if they just want to concentrate on questions from reputed test prep companies.
2) Gmat Club Tests can use high quality questions submitted by users

Thank you. We have implemented the "Self-made" tag on Monday when you posted in all question forums. We'd love to see more self-made questions. The GMAT Club tests were self-made and are some of the trickiest and hardest questions. Look forward to more!

Thank you for the suggestion!

Thank you! Wonderful to see that suggestions are read and worked on in a timely fashion :)
I hope more people come up with suggestions to improve the forum.

Hi BB,

GMAT Club is one of the best organized forums out there for the GMAT. But as a student who depends heavily on it, I have a simple suggestion - if implemented can help a lot while going through questions. For difficult questions, the active discussion can sometimes be long, leading to 6-7 page threads for a single question and to go through each one is time consuming. If at the end of each question we have another sort option available that helps to sort by Kudos or Expert posts it will really reduce the time to understanding the mistake one did on a particular question and move on to the next. Thanks and cheers for all the good work.

This post is primarily for military applicants looking for a GMAT prep program (CONUS or OCONUS), but may offer insight to others who are currently considering Veritas Prep.

If you are in the military and are thinking about taking the GMAT but are not sure how you should prepare, go with Veritas Prep (NOW). Do not wait until you are on terminal leave to attend a course (like I did), and do not worry about the cost-it is worth every penny.

Waiting until I was one terminal leave (I had two months saved) had its advantages because I had the chance to focus solely on the GMAT, but this approach was completely unnecessary. Veritas Prep's materials, which includes 12 books, one laminated note pad, one non-permanent ink pen, and a myriad of online videos are more than sufficient. As I was taking the course in person, I was also studying the online material on my own. What I discovered was that the online material mirrors what is taught in class-what your instructor teaches you is covered, even in the tiniest detail, on the online course. You can trust the material online and know that it will guide you step by step. Be advised however that the material covered is immense-but refined enough to the point where if you master the skills, and take enough diagnostic exams, your score will improve drastically. I was completely lost by the material prior to Veritas prep but now have a much deeper and clearer understanding the GMAT-I will be taking it this December.

My instructor, Laura Cook was GREAT during class and in private tutoring. Laura was able to point out my weaknesses and helped me laser lock into the areas that I had to strengthen. She has mastered the GMAT inside out and helped me navigate through the ambiguity of the GMAT.

A huge and very special thanks to Farrah Walker (Veritas Prep Academic Advisor) for guiding me from the very beginning-had it not been for her, this post would not exist. She has been extremely professional and does NOT treat clients as "another number." My phone call with Farrah was the difference between choosing Manhattan GMAT or Veritas Prep.

I think there is a bug with notifications for messages. Whenever a new message comes, say message from kellogg mba page, the user should be directed to the latest post. By default, when the user clicks on the message notification, the user is directed to the first page of the b-school page. I have to navigate everytime to the last page to the see message. This behavior is kind of irritating . But, the functionality works well for global notifications , so no issue there. Please let me know if this is some expected behavior

Yes, unfortunately I know and we have been waiting a long time (for no good reason) for the programmers to release the fix. However, I am hoping to very shortly get rid of this annoyance.

If there is anything else we can do to improve your experience on the site, please do not hesitate.

Hi,

I am a relatively new user at GMAT club and have found it very useful so far. Great job!!!

I have a suggestion on workbook. One needs to attempt 10 questions to get a GMAT score estimate and get personalised questions every day. But you post only 4 questions in workbook>Daily Practice Questions, and then one has to go through the questions database to attempt 10 questions. I think it would better to post personalised 10 questions instead of 4 in "Daily Practice Questions" section itself. That way students don't have to go through the questions database to attempt 10 questions.

Thanks

I would like it if the categories of the threads were not visible, or at least put somewhere else. When answering a sentence correction question, I often unintentionally read the categories and thus know what to look for. By hiding or moving the categories to somewhere else, this could be avoided.

Thank you!

The same goes for score and correct answer ratios. If a lot of people have gotten the answer wrong I start analyzing the question even further and might eventually find something that I otherwise wouldn't.
