I need some help with this concept.
Could anyone of you guide me as to how we convert 1 metre in centimetre
or 1 kilometre in 1 decimetre?
There is a table but I am always confused in this concept.

1m = 10dm = 100cm
1km = 1000m = 10000dm
- For example:
> 32m in cm:
1m - 100cm
32m - x
x = 32*100 = 3200 cm
> 32km to dm
1km - 10000dm
32km - x
x = 320000

If you are moving from left to right, you need to multiply by \(10^x\), whereas if you are moving from right to left, you need to divide by \(10^x\).
[x = number of blocks you are moving]
