B. that of earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his --> same error.Besides, the 2nd clause is not parallelled compared with the 1st clause when putting Blassingame to the subject
C. earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his --> same second error as (B)
D. earlier works on slavery, Blassingame’s --> the best
E. the earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his --> same second error as (B)

Hi mates,

IMO D

the only one that follows //ism

A out: words?
B out: comparing "that of earlier works" with a person. Besides, what's the reference of "that"?
C out: comparing "works" and a person
E out: same as in C

OA and Source?

Thanks

A. that of earlier words on slavery, Blassingame’sthat of earlier works.... is not parallel with study..
B. that of earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his
C. earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his
D. earlier works on slavery, Blassingame’s
E. the earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his

B,C,And E are out because of comparison problem.
between A & B, A compare child of work with study.. which is wrong.
IMO it is D.
