Hi there,
I took the GMAT yesterday and, to my surprise, scored only V31 compared to mock exams where I consistently scored in the V38-40 range.
I used the GMATPill online course as source of preparation and thought that I had a good understanding of the concepts. I took mock exams and got confirmation with scores in the range of V38-40. For that reason I neglected working through all OG verbal questions and focused on Math, since that was my weaker area.
Then on the real exam, I was satisfied with my Math Score, got even an 8 on the IR, but only got 31 on verbal. I was shocked and hence scored only in the upper 600 range.
Do you guys have any hints or strategy advice as to how to improve my Verbal score? Ideally, I would like to retake the exam in 3-4 weeks to not miss the deadlines for MBA application.
Thank you very much in advance.

I was in same situation when i saw a very low score in verbal in my final GMAT exam, however my GMATpreps had better verbal scores. ESR helped me know what mistakes did i make.
Thanks for the tipp. I already saw my ESR. I had a 23 in CR, RC 40 and SC 31. On my mocks I even managed to score 41 in both SC and CR. How can that happen?
I am now studying with Powerscore to improve CR. Do you have any other suggestions for CR and also for SC?

Given that both of your GMATPrep CATs were in the V38-40 range, I feel that your V31 was likely a fluke. How were you feeling during the test? Is it possible your performance was affected by nerves?
