I am stuck deciding between a two offers after having narrowed it down from about 5.
I am currently working in production management and would like to transition to consulting/tech for a couple of years post MBA before ultimately going into entrepreneurship. I have been working in production for the past 3.5 years and have gotten a solid feel for general management, product management, sales and marketing as well as production focused operations management.
Since consulting is a very competitive field post-mba I would ultimately like to narrow it down in order to work in a tech company on the operations consulting side. Maybe in production/operations consulting. If i were to choose a plan B it would probably have to do with working in brand/product management at a tech company...
I currently am between IU Kelley (30% scholarship + 20% graduate assistantship + comprehensive health and dental care at no extra cost) and CMU Tepper with a 30% scholarship...
My profile is as follows: UGPA 2.6 GMAT 680 q:42 v:42 WE 6 Years

I would go with Kelley both comparable programs, Kelley offers more money with a better brand mgmt program which should help you in case you need to pursue your plan B option. Kelley alums tend to love the place as well!

i would say if you are interested in tech, i am leaning towards tepper. it has stronger ties to tech/engineering. however, if you are interested in consulting, kelley would be better.
also, i think these schools are very regional and you may want to consider where you want to end up post-mba. kelley=midwest. tepper=northeast/eastcoast
