Hi,

Pretty simple question.

Given,

p = 3q

So,

3p = 15q

So,

(40/100) of 3p equals to,

(40/100) of 15q = (2/5) * 15q

= 6q.

So the answer is A.

We can also think of plugging in a value for “q”. But its a straight forward question. Not necessary of PLUGGIN-IN.

Hope this helps.

We are given p = 5q > 0 ......1

and we need to find 40% of 3p which imply we need to find 12p/10 .

Now multiply the given equation 1 by 12 and we get 12p =60q .

or 12p/10 = 6q

hence option A is correct choice

Another option is to just assume values.

If q = 1, p = 5

40% of 3p = 40% of 3*5 = 40% of 15

(2/5)*15 = 6

6 is 6q because q = 1

Answer (A)
