Does anyone know what are the guidelines for the Statement of Purpose? Is there a word limit?

Sharing here for reference: SOP Guidelines for IIMB EPGP applicants 2024: Provide an essay detailing your purpose in taking up this course of study at IIMB, including your future aims. The essay should be around 600 words and should be in simple and direct English and preferably typed in a readable pdf format. Please note the length of the file name should be less than 40 characters (eg. for SOP - Name_SOP.PDF, for Category - Name_Category.PDF)

What is the average gmat score and average work ex required?

Yes, the SOP was there in the last year's application also. The EPGP 2024 intake application requirements are more or less the same, sharing the main points below: 1. SOP ( 600 words) 2. 2 letters of reference 3. Minimum 5 years experience till March 31, 2024 4. Test score ( Online / at home GMAT or GRE not accepted & Length of the file name should be less than 40 characters, like Name_TestName.PDF & if official score card is not available at the time of the application submission you may submit the test taker copy) 5. 5 interview locations - Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Online ('Online' is an option for only those candidates residing overseas. )

Hi applicants, Sharing some tips to keep in mind while writing your SOP: - Spend more time in sharpening your axe. Jot down your professional, personal and extracurricular achievements in a blank page first (Do not self-reject anything). You can use these pointers for your application and SOP - To make your intent clear, tie your past, present and future goals together. They cannot be one in each direction. For example, you started as an IT engineer, currently a tech lead, you need to mention your short term goal around technology - Eg. Tech consulting or product management - Make your SOP personal; No, do not write a story of your heartbreak, did not mean that! Write about the situations who made you who you are today and share how you will add to the diversity of the cohort. Feel free to reach out for more tips!
