Hello GMATClub members,
This is my first post here. Really need your helps to pick school.
I just got the results of all the schools I applied to in the previous batch, and thankfully, the majority of them are excellent offers. After much deliberation, I narrowed my choices down to two:
Indiana University (Kelley) and
Arizona State University (W.P. Carey).
I'd like to tell you a little about myself, so you can give me some advice. I have 5 years of experience in public accounting and corporate finance, and I plan to major in Business Analytics for my MBA. Because of the industry development trends in my country, I am interested in the Ecommerce and Tech Start-up industries.
I weighed these two options based on a few factors, which I will list in order of importance below:
Financial Aid: (vote for Carey)W. P. Carey provided me with a full scholarship; Kelley provided me with a partial scholarship, leaving me with ~$30K for tuition. I also received a GA offer from Carey, but I might get it in Kelley if I apply, so GA will not count here.
Ranking: (vote for Kelley)Kelley has a slight lead. While Kelley is ranked higher in the 2023 US FT MBA ranking (22 vs 29), Carey is ranked higher in the MBA Business Analytics ranking (13 vs `unknown for Kelley but pretty sure it's after 13`)
Career Service + Alumni Network: (vote for Kelley)People say Kelley has a strong CMC and a large alumni network. I honestly don't have enough information to compare this to Carey, but I sensed the program's interest in students during Kelley's initial orientation.
Location: (vote for Carey)Despite its reputation for hot, dry weather, especially in the summer, I find excited to live in Phoenix than in Bloomington.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you in advance!
