I applied for the MPS in Management at Cornell SC Johnson and after a month's wait, I was mailed by the college about being Waitlisted.
Email
"Dear Tejas,
We know that you are anxious to learn whether or not you have been admitted, but after a comprehensive review of your application by the admissions committee, we are not ready to render a decision on your application and we are placing your name on our waitlist for future consideration. All candidates will have a final application update by June 15."
I want to know how I can overcome the waitlist and what my next step should be.
Hello
tejashendre,
Apologies for the delayed response but we hope this finds you in time still.
One cannot rely upon a waitlist but here is what you can do:
Send an email to the Adcom letting them know:
-That the school in question is your primary target school
-About any improvements in your profile (as minor as they may be) since the time you applied or about conversations with alumni
-About details pertaining to any other admits or scholarships (without naming the schools) but clearly letting them know that Cornell is your primary target
-That you are hopeful about the conversion
Good luck!
