Geethu, "as much that" is not idiomatic. Idiom is "as much as" and I would go with the family on this one too. B it is

The family is right...

All of the answer choices contain the word as. From the idiomatic expressions tutorial we know that as and as...as are both on the list of idiomatic expressions. This question requires an answer that is idiomatically correct. As much as is the correct idiomatic expression because it gives us the sense of an equal comparison, making B the best answer
