What are my chances to get in one of the top 10 Canadian Universities for full time MBA?
My Profile is,
GMAT - 660 (Q47 V34)
Male, 36 Years, Indian
First Class Bachelors in Instrumentation Engineering from tier 3 Indian University.
Worked in Oil and Gas Sector in Africa and Middle East Asia for 9 years.
Will target Oil and Gas/ Technology job after my MBA.

Your GMAT score is good enough for all the top Canadian B-schools except perhaps Toronto Rotman and Ivey where you will be competing with multiple Indian applicants with higher scores. Your age will also be a bit of an issue as you will be in the oldest 5% of any cohort. Your international and oil/gas experience will differentiate you from other Indian applicants, though there are many oil & gas folks applying this year. Hopefully, your 9 years of experience includes management and increasing responsibility. Other top schools such as Queen's, HEC Montreal, and UBC Sauder should be in play for you. As you probably know, both Alberta and Haskayne have energy MBAs.

Your work experience is likely to be a good source of interesting materials for teamwork, leadership across cultures and work environments, you would do well to leverage them into an application that helps you stand out.
Communicating a realistic post-MBA goals, especially in the midst of declining oil prices would also help assure your target programs that the an MBA will benefit you.
