Hello,
With no mention of the interval in the question stem, why shall we assume that the interval is 1?
I was expecting an info on this variable as the question is leaving an opportunity for traps by not mentioning anything on the interval. If the stem would have used "a set of evenly spaced consecutive integers" or "a set of consecutive integers multiple of 3" I would agree, but here I feel like the set 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 - 25 - 30 - 35 - 40 would be a possible answer.
Please share what you think,
B
The stem says: What is the average of a list of n
consecutive integers?
Consecutive integers are integers that follow one another, without skipping any integers. So,
"consecutive integers" ALWAYS mean integers that follow each other in order with common difference of 1:
... x-3, x-2, x-1, x, x+1, x+2, ....
Examples:7, 8, 9, and -2, -1, 0, 1, are consecutive integers.
2, 4, 6 ARE NOT consecutive integers, they are
consecutive even integers.
3, 5, 7 ARE NOT consecutive integers, they are
consecutive odd integers.
5, 10, 15, ... ARE NOT consecutive integers, they are
consecutive positive multiples of 5.

Hope it helps.
