What is the value of x?

(1) 4^x * 2^y = 8 --> $$2^{2x}*2^y=2^3$$ --> $$2^{2x+y}=2^3$$ --> $$2x+y=3$$. Not sufficient.

(2) 81^x * 9^y = 3^6 --> $$3^{4x}*3^{2y}=3^6$$ --> $$3^{4x+2y}=3^6$$ --> $$4x+2y=6$$ --> $$2x+y=3$$. Not sufficient.

(1)+(2) We have the smae bit of information from both statements: $$2x+y=3$$. Not sufficient.
