What is the value of x?
(1) 4^x * 2^y = 8 --> \(2^{2x}*2^y=2^3\) --> \(2^{2x+y}=2^3\) --> \(2x+y=3\). Not sufficient.
(2) 81^x * 9^y = 3^6 --> \(3^{4x}*3^{2y}=3^6\) --> \(3^{4x+2y}=3^6\) --> \(4x+2y=6\) --> \(2x+y=3\). Not sufficient.
