Which of the following most logically completes the editorial below?
Editorial in Golbindian Newspaper: For almost three months, opposition parties
have been mounting daily street demonstrations in the capital in an effort to
pressure the ruling party into calling an election. Though the demonstrations
were well attended at first, attendance has declined steadily in recent weeks.
However, the decline in attendance does not indicate that popular support for
the opposition’s demands is dropping, since
A. the opposition’s demands have not changed during the period when the
street demonstrations have been mounted.
B. No foreign governments have expressed any support for the opposition’s
demands.
C. The state-controlled media have ceased any mention of the demonstrations, leaving many citizens outside the capital with no way of knowing that demonstrations continue.
D. There have not recently been any antigovernment demonstrations in cities
other than the capital.
E. A recent sharp decrease in unemployment has led to increased popular
support for the government.

What would strengthen the argument above :

even though we have now lesser of a crowd but they still have strong support, how :

I don't see

I see now, they are asking for what indicates that the support is not there,
C - media is not covering the demonstration.

I have to read carefully. thanks

Is it C ? Key to this one I feel is finding an alternative reason (other then lack of support) for the decline in attendance. C provides this reason by stating that people who would have otherwise attended are being cut out of the loop because of lack of tv coverage.

Its between C and A for me.

C - Since TV coverage has ceased, it might give the impression that the demonstrations have lost steam.

I think what the stimulus states is the support still exists it's just that the media has ceased to cover the demonstation.

The only other choice i see is A, I guess e could have been viable but it's the other way round since lack of employment would have increased participation in the drawing of crowd ( but here we are assuming a lot).

OA is C. Please don't count on these answer keys as they have lied quite a few times before.
