e-gmat is literally ALL you will ever need for GMAT verbal preparation. The content provided is not only lucid but also very well structured. GMAT verbal seems like a walk in the park with e-gmat. The practice files along with each concept file helps you validate what you've just learnt. A great way to check if you've managed to grasp a particular concept. Another feature "Scholaranium" further helps you sharpen your verbal ability.
SC content in e-gmat tackles EXACTLY what is needed for the exam. CR content works mainly on building your thinking skills and also teaching you about trap answer choices. RC content provides a great approach which definitely helps build your confidence to tackle GMAT RC passages.
Needless to say, I strongly recommend anyone native or otherwise to definitely subscribe to e-gmat verbal!
I had given by GMAT in 2014 and scored a 710 with 50 in quant and 34 in verbal. However, apart from sheer exhaustion from the long test due to lack of preparation, I had no clue how I ended up with that verbal score. I ended up going through a few books and online material to figure out what the problem was and why my verbal scores were just like a roll of dice, just randomly up or down.
Finally, I came across e-gmat and saw very positive reviews. I just took the free trial and also the webinar. I found the webinar waste of time probably because I had already given GMAT but the free trial was good. I enrolled for the full course and immediately observed a minor improvement due to the stress put on meaning over rules.
What really made a difference to me was, however, the Master Comprehension. It really helped me nail the problem. My comprehension of a question was totally dependent on my mood. Master Comprehension really helped me with the right way of comprehending sentences and pausing at the right places, thereby improving my overall comprehension substantially.
I still need to get a little bit faster though with the methodology but in a few weeks I should be able to comprehend faster and also improve my score significantly.
Just one improvement for the course. Though the videos are really detailed, I feel it takes a long time to cover the entire portion. It would be good to condense at some places for effective studying.
Hello future leaders of the world, I am Shekhar working for the past 6 years and planning to retake my GMAT (earlier score was a mere 640). Like every re-taker - I did my homework well and found out about E-gmat and it's tech based GMAT prep offering. What really works for the product are - 1. Basic structure of the content 2. Detailed analysis 3. You can study anytime. 4. Support - expect a reply within 24-36 hours.
What may not be working
While, the course is good but you really need to push yourself when your cards are down. I have had so many incidents when I skipped my routine as no one is really policing me. Such indiscipline can easily turn skipping one day to many days.
Also, it advertises that you can learn SC in 10 days - it most probably is true for super bright students. It took me 20-25 days easily.
So If you are determined to give GMAT and are fed up of sub par GMAT tutors - E-GMAT could be your night in shining armor. I'll keep you posted about my score here.
Thanks,
Shekhar
I had given my GMAT more than a year ago with score of 620 and at that point of time I felt so low as soon as verbal section came. I had lost all hope. My quant was always strong, and CR,SC and RCs looked like herculean to me. I was quiet week in english . But each time I would come across an RC in the middle of my mocks, I would feel low and lose time and thereby end up rushing through my SC and CR questions as well consequently poor score.
Then,I read so many positive reviews about e-GMAT and I cannot thank e-gmat enough for making an awesome program. After a yearlong break, I felt the need to start over again the videos provided by e-GMAT made the journey a fun . I make handwritten notes while watching videos. I would really recommend it to you all as well. I make my notes nice and add screenshots and links to them.
The RC videos were really helpful as well. e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while reading through RCs. The one strategy that worked wonders for me was "to get immersed". I would literally tell myself at the beginning of each passage that "Oh! this sounds interesting, lets read what happens next!" I even used the note making approach during RCs quite regularly and was thereby able to get ALL my main point and structure questions right.
The other thing that I absolutely loved about the VLP was the scholaranium. It allows you to strenghten the weaker section. The random mix of questions of all difficulty level is also great help. You can create your own mocks without subscribing any redundant material from other sources.
Thank you e-GMAT once again
All the best to you all !!

I had scored 670 in my first GMAT attempt. Verbal score was a disappointing V32. Since I was already in my tempo of preparation, I thought I would attempt the GMAT again in the next 1 month. This time I decided to go ahead with e-GMAT's verbal live prep course as I had heard a lot of positive things about the same. Having said that, I was certain of one thing- content wise I was ready, I needed to fine-tune my approach in Verbal and do the questions the right way. Thats where e-GMAT turned out to be very useful. Considering the fact that I am a non-native speaker, after going through the e-GMAT videos, I started approaching CR and SC in a structured manner. Every question type in CR was to be approached in a specific manner which I realized after going through the content. The best part is that the justification for each question is explained very systematically. Finally, I ended up with a 50 point improvement, totally due to verbal as my quantitative section score was the same in both my attempts.
I really liked the structured approach to SC,and CR and the way it has been explained in throughout the course.
I completed the course a month back and really loved it , tough I was not able to make the best use of it as i had to postpone my GMAT date due to personal reasons and my subscription expired before I could make the best use of the course and the scholaranium of e gmat.
But , nonetheless the course was good and I really liked the technique used to impart the knowledge, The pattern how the contents unfold ,and even the basic level of the topic is covered .
For a non native user it is really very helpful as it provides with knowledge ,which is not available in other courses.
I started my GMAT preparation about 18 months ago. This is my first standardized test so a lot of things were new to me when I first started. I started by buying the OG 2015. When I started solving it reading comprehension or the critical reasoning part did not give me that much of a trouble. I had few problems in those sections but I thought I could overcome those with more practice. But when I started the sentence correction part it was a completely different story. Even if I could luckily guess the answer of some questions I could not tell why that answer was better than rest of the options. I actually stopped preparing for GMAT for a while. Then about seven months ago I started again preparing for GMAT. However, when I started sentence correction I faced the same problem. This is the first time I actually started using GMAT club. I heard of e-gmat from one of my friends before but didn't really think of buying it that time. In GMAT club I saw an advertisement of e-gmat that said I could actually try the course first before buying it and even after buying it I could learn for few days and see whether I like it and if I did not they would give my money back. So, I thought well no harm in trying. So I first signed up for the free trial version and I liked their approach of solving sentence correction very much so I decided to buy the course.
After 6 months I sat for my GMAT exam but it did not really do as well as I expected to do. I scored a 650 out of 800 with a score of 35 in verbal. I was really shocked because I used GMAT Prep software to prepare for the exam and I never scored below 38. So, I tried to find out where I went wrong and found out my test taking strategy was seriously flawed. So I took a month and sat for the exam again and this time I scored 710 and this time my score in the verbal section was 40.
Here are the things that I found most useful while I used egmat:
1. e-gmat focuses on the meaning of the sentence very much. At first it may seem very time consuming and it took me 3/4 minutes to solve sentence correction questions in this way but with practice I was able to solve sentence correction questions in 60 to 90 seconds when I was done with the course.
2. The experts in egmat are very very helpful. There is also a forum with many questions from past students and many of them actually asked the questions I had in mind so I could find the answers to my question without trouble and when I had a unique question the experts were always there to answer my questions.
3. I had least trouble in the critical reasoning part of GMAT but there was one question type that troubled me and that was bold faced question. After using e-gmat's method I actually could solve bold faced questions quite well. The e-gmat critical reasoning course teaches critical reasoning in a very structured way and I believe it can be helpful to those who are facing problem in this section.
Lastly, I have a personal experience and it is not really directly related to the course itself but I want to share it since it actually helped me. My first GMAT exam was on 21st January 2017 but my e-gmat access ended in 7/10 days before that day. I mailed them asking for help and they extended my access till 31st January without any additional cost. It was a really nice thing to do from their part. So, If anyone else is facing problem in the verbal section I suggest to try the free course first and i believe they will actually find it useful as I did and take informed decision.

I wrote my GMAT in December '16 (720- V38, Q50). Being a math enthusiast, I was confident in handling the Quantitative section- I also had good scores in the mock tests. However, my verbal score in the mocks couldn’t cross 32. I was aiming a 700+ score and that’s when I came across e-gmat through the GMATClub reviews.
I was initially hesitant in taking up an online course, but once I experienced their free trial I was convinced e-gmat was the right path ahead. If there are two things I’d say helped me immensely, they would be the practice I had everyday (I spent 2 hours daily) and the focus I had on finding my weaknesses (Scholaranium is a great tool for this, I’d totally go with what the positive reviews say). The video-based learning was effective in terms of retaining concepts and correlating them while solving problems.
Thank you e-GMAT for helping me score well in the VA section, and improve my reading skills as a whole. I whole heartedly recommend this to any non-native speaker who wants to ace the GMAT.
All the best to you all !!

I started learning for the gmat few months ago and I 'm confortable with (I got a score higher than 46 on my very first simulation tests). However the verbal section is a nightmare for me. I got a V26 on my simulation tests and started spending more time on the verbal section. I suscribed for the Economist GMAT (which I recommand to learn the technics for the quant section), and worked on the material for 8 weeks. Even though it helped me a lot for the quant, I hardly got V30 on simulation test after completing the course. 2 weeks ahead of my planned test date I made my mind that I could not get the 700+ score that I'm aiming . I then followed the advice of my friends who highly recommand the egmat verbal online course.
This course is incredibile great. It shows the technics step by step to ace the verbal. From the SC , to the RC through the CR, the egmat course and the questions in scholarium, are the perfect material to understand deeply the basic grammar rules and the arguments construction, how to read critically the RC passage and better answer the questions.
It also greatly helps to work on the official guide in the meantime and to get use to the official questions by giving the questions of the OG as exercice to work on after each course. The cherish on the top are the detail explanations of the OG questions.
I'm now able to score 37 on the verbal section thank to EGMAT.
