Ravi Sreerama is one heck of a GMAT instructor. If you sign up for Veritas Prep, or any other course for that matter, seriously consider the reviews about this guy - because they are valid.

He doesn't mince words about his expectations of his students: he wants us to be in the 99th percentile and he says it from day one. His office hours are always open and no matter how many times you get it wrong, he wants you to grow. He'll teach you to THINK about how to tackle the GMAT rather than just get through it. Pay close attention to his tips and tricks because it will help.

In summary, if anything, keep Veritas Prep as a choice of GMAT prep because of Ravi. He'll show you where you need to be.

As anyone who has taken a GMAT prep course knows, the quality of your instructor can make a world of difference. Such was the case with my experience with Veritas Prep. Undoubtedly, the various companies who offer GMAT preparation courses all have a solid value proposition. However, what set the Veritas Prep course apart for me was not the breadth of the texts (which were very good, for the record), but rather the quality of my instructor, Ravi Sreerama.

To say that Ravi was instrumental in my preparation is an understatement. The GMAT, more than any other standardized test, is ultimately about strategy. Most people signing up for the GMAT already have the skill set to answer a majority of questions. It is the strategy which really sets apart a 500 level score from a 700 score. And the hope of better understanding that strategy is how I justified the cost of the course. Ravi's teaching style truly exceeded my expectations. Ravi has an ability to break down a question not only to find the right answer, but perhaps more importantly to understand why a question is worded the way it is, to identify the trap answers, and ultimately to demonstrate why you should have been able to save 20 seconds answering it.

I have been previously very disappointed by the quality of MOOC's and my biggest concern in signing up for Veritas prep was that I was only able to take an online version of the course with my work schedule. Looking back, I think I even had a better experience because I took the online version of the course - and again, I'm going to have to credit Ravi. One must remember in the classroom, they don't necessarily receive the personal attention of the instructor. In taking the online course with Ravi, I received constant feedback - even in my class of 25. As I mentioned above, his ability to illuminate patterns in my errors - always falling for trap answers in combinatorics problems for example or consistently spending too much time on geometry questions - really helped me guide my studying accordingly.

In short, the ROI from this course came down to the quality of instructor - and Ravi is the real deal.

I took the course during the first couple months this year with Ravi as the instructor. He is the man!! He keeps all the material as simple as possible and more importantly has great advice involving mental stamina. I have been taking practice tests since our course ended and continue to communicate with Ravi and get his advice on all kinds of the most excellent topics. I haven't taken the actual test yet but am feeling confident I can reach the score I want and most of the credit goes to Mr. RAVI! I actually came into this world of GMAT very raw but after the course with Ravi, test day felt very comfortable and familiar. I gained confidence and raised my expectations for success as the course progressed. Not only was Ravi a good instructor but he is also very helpful post course and I feel comfortable going to him with any questions I may have. I definitely recommend taking this course. The main topics of the GMAT were divided into 3-hour sessions. Who made this course stand out from the rest was the instructor, Ravi Sreerama. He's interactive, motivational, and genuinely concerned. All instruction was clear, succinct, and methodological. Some instructors I've had in the past utilized "educated guessing" far too often. Ravi always had a logical method of approaching problems that was very reassuring.

I started the course with an average score, and after taking the course, am now scoring in the 700's on practice tests. Hopefully I can replicate that success on the real test. Overall, I enjoyed the class and would recommend it to all the people who are shooting for that 99th-percentile score.

Ravi was a really great instructor who managed to keep me engaged for the whole three hours each class. His advice for each section was clear and easy to remember. All of the example problems were challenging and taught us new and useful techniques with every problem. Ravi was so supportive and pushed me to reach for the 99th percentile. He also had a ton of tips on certain types of problems that I've found really useful on the practice tests I've taken so far. I have not yet taken the GMAT but I have high expectations of myself after taking Ravi's course.

Ravi has a unique teaching style unlike any other instructor or professor I've had in the past. Beside all the knowledge experience with the GMAT Ravi has to offer, he'll set time aside (private chat) for students to make sure they are understanding the material. It was a real pleasure taking the course with him and would highly recommend that if you choose to invest in a GMAT prep course, take it with Ravi Sreerama!

As for the for all the resources and materials Veritas Prep offered, it really set me in the right direction, with a study plan, and a method of approaching my GMAT studies. Whereas before I was studying strictly from the GMAT 13th edition review and was lost in how to approach these questions. My preparation was inefficient and not as effective as it is now while I continue my GMAT preparation.

This class was a little bigger than I expected. However, they had two instructors on at all times, one that gave the lecture and one that answered any questions. They did a great job of making sure that every question got answered. In terms of quality of material, the books were excellent and the course pace was perfect. Since it was online I got to go back and see classes I missed. Both instructors were great and well educated not only in the material but also in terms of understanding the GMAT. As long as you put in the effort in the pre class studies you will certainly see improvements.

First off, Ravi was a fantastic teacher. Not only was his voice intriguing enough to maintain focus, but he truly cared. If I wasn't answering enough questions he would reach out in a private chat and discuss it with me. He provided resources and constant encouragement. I never met the guy face to face, but if I did I would buy him a drink (or dinner if that's not his thing).

The course prepared me to focus on my areas of weakness and learn how to best approach each question. I avoided the trap answers on my test and performed as well as I could have expected considering I hadn't taken a math course in over 10 years. My English degree gave me confidence about my verbal skills but I quickly realized how much improvement I made throughout the course. My verbal percentile was in the high 80's according to my test score. The biggest surprise was scoring in the 93rd percentile on Integrated Reasoning. Going from a pre-course 480 to a 640 was remarkable.

The software itself was fairly impressive aside from a few minor details. As someone who has been designing software professionally for 3 years, I can't imagine another company living up to Veritas Prep. Occasionally there were some mistakes in the content but they never detracted from my learning experience.

I have already recommended Veritas Prep to my friends seeking an MBA and will continue to do so. The price is right and the improvement speaks for itself.

The Veritas course is a well-structured course with tons of material available to the student. The books provided as part of the course are easy to follow and the Veritas website has video for all the lessons (so you can review them at your own time), a lot of problems (with their respective solutions) and several GMAT practice tests.
