My greatest weakness was comprehending a long and complex sentence correctly in verbal.
Master comprehension module helped me a lot to comprehend the meaning of a complex sentence .
SC,CR, and RC module are designed beautifully to make your base strong .
The concepts taught in these videos were very helpful not only to clear very basic doubts but also to tackle difficult questions.
I used to make notes while going through SC,CR, and RC module. And it helped me a lot during revision.
Verbal scholaranium is no doubt a great platform to know the ability.
The questions are too good in the verbal scholarinium.
I used the verbal forum in the later part of my preparation. It is really a nice platform to clarify very silly to tricky doubts.
I wrote my GMAT exam on 18th dec 2018. Since my target score is 730, I am planning to write the exam again to get 700 plus score sticking to my e-gmat verbal preparation.

I was looking for a verbal course online, one of my friend suggested me about the e-gmat verbal online course, I quickly enrolled for the course.
It is an extremely user friendly and an interactive course, which removes the general monotony of studying from a text book.
It was the first time when I had to learn the grammar rules, and being a non-native speaker, I always trusted my ear for correct grammar. I got to know the step by step approach of how to handle SC, which was the most difficult section for me in the GMAT, I was scoring the minimal and with a very low accuracy, after learning the concepts and applying the POE approach my accuracy started to increase in this section.
The approach to handle the tough RC passages is also explained, and after diligently applying the approaches my accuracy almost increased to 90%, infact in my GMAT retake I got 100% accuracy in the inferred area sub-section of RC (I saw in my ESR).
The pre-thinking approach to handle SC questions is also another amazing aspect of the course.
The questions on the scholaranium are very realistic and the closest to what you could get on the GMAT.

E-GMAT Strengthened My Foundations in the Verbal Section

Improvement 60 Points

I took the GMAT a total of 4 times over a period of 6 months. In my first 3 attempts, I scored 680 consistently. In my final attempt, I scored 740 (Q50, V41).

At the end of my third GMAT, I was determined to give it one final push before the 2nd round MBA application deadlines and I wanted to take an online course that was more personalised.

e-GMAT was my selected course. I was most concerned with improving my verbal section and I read many positive reviews about e-GMAT from the various forums.

The aspects of the e-GMAT that helped me the most are listed below:

1. Facilitated Specific Goal Setting

Before starting any of the online materials, e-GMAT has a GMAT Planner that shows you the specific percentile you should train towards if you want your target GMAT score. The Planner gives a specific percentile for each component of the GMAT in order for you to attain your target GMAT score.

For example, I wanted a GMAT score of 750 and I reported that I was fairly proficient in both Quans and Verbal.
The GMAT Planner then churned out specific target percentiles for my Algebra (85%ile), Arithmetic (87%), SC (85%ile), CR (87%ile) & RC (89%ile), resulting in an overall Quans Scaled Score of 50 & an overall Verbal Scaled Score of 41.

I also liked the feature in which I could change components within the recommendation based on the understanding of my own competencies. I knew SC was my weaker component, and thus, I reduced the target percentile needed for SC. Furthermore, the GMAT Planner takes into account the minimum score for you to achieve the target goal (i.e., there are certain percentiles below which you cannot state as a goal if you have a higher target GMAT score)

Ultimately, this gave me a very clear goal to work towards & I dedicated my energy towards these component percentiles.

2. Provided Rigorous Verbal Training

The best part about the e-GMAT is its depth of content.

But before delving into specific topics, the course taught me how to read. While we do read daily, we do not necessarily comprehend what we read to the level demanded by the GMAT. Thus, e-GMAT provides this module called Master Comprehension in which it teaches you how to read effectively so as to correctly answer the questions thrown at you during the GMAT.

Needless to say, the topics for the actual content of the GMAT are well covered thereafter. The videos are filled with multiple example questions and you go through scaffolded learning; the level of difficulty is slowly increased through the videos to ensure that you aren't thrown into the deep end.

Furthermore, if you have any question regarding the content presented in the video, you can post questions in the forum for that particular topic or read questions that have been asked by other e-GMAT learners. This helped to clarify many doubts that I had for specific topics and this made the learning process alot more personalised.

3. Maintains an Effective Question Bank + Provides Realistic Training using Questions from the Official Guides

Scholaranium is essentially a question bank that churns out ability tests and practice quizzes to help you keep track of how well you are progressing in attaining your target percentile scores. Additionally, in each of the content topics covered, e-GMAT makes reference to the relevant questions from the Official Guide.

These helped to provide me with realistic training and it better prepared me for the actual GMAT.

From V36 to V42 – e-gmat Verbal Online Prep

I had already given my GMAT once already. However, I knew that there is still a lot to improve and especially I could improve my verbal score a lot. So I again started going through the verbal scholaranium and I resolved the solved questions again.
This time I changed my approach towards each question and focused on every aspect of a choice. I started pointing out a lot of problems with every choice. Next step was to give a lot of tests, which I had missed doing in my first attempt. I gave one sectional test every alternate day and full test every 4th day. Things took time to improve. Initially I was not improving and my approach was same as the last one. So Finally with practice and time, I started improving. My scores started increasing and I reached the verbal score of 42.
None of this could have been possible without the brilliantly designed course - e-gmat Verbal Online Prep. I would recommend this course to every non-native speaker. You cannot get a better service at this price.

The Best course for non natives who dream 700+ score

I belong to the crowd of thousands and millions who dream of getting a 700+ score on GMAT. The biggest hurdle in achieving my dream score is Verbal section. After searching many days for the best verbal course I enrolled myself to VLP (Verbal Live Prep) of E-gmat. I attended several free sessions before buying this course. I must say that it was worth every penny. I think that people in our country, no matter how much they use technology for fun, are not confident in choosing a virtual teaching platform. Same was the case with me. But after going through some of the videos of e-gmat I had to change that view. The way this course progresses is unique and confidence building. The pre and post assessment quiz of the video files is amazing. I improved my SC ability from 50% to 85% by following Egmat's meaning based process. The pre-thinking is magical for solving CR questions. Once you do a quick brainstorming based on the information of the passage, you can very easily eliminate 3 wrong options even in tough level questions. I can't put enough words for the RC course. I think RC is more about attitude than skills. Once you develop an attitude of an active reader you can ace RC. Egmat teaches to build that attitude. I improved my accuracy from 40% to 70% in this section.

Conclusively, I would recommend this course to all who aspire to improve their verbal score drastically.

Before coming across the E-GMAT Methods such as the Meaning Based Approach in SC, Falsification Technique in CR and Reading Strategies in RC : the entire Verbal Section of the GMAT was much dreaded.

There was always a guess work involved and ultimately one had a very tuff time eliminating very close answer choices.

While selecting an answer choice, there was no element of surety and the confidence level would take a huge plunge .

Techniques such as understanding the meaning before approaching the SC Question, coming up with a pre-though Falsification scenario and Reading Strategies makes life so much more easier.

This brings a method to all the madness, improves the time, provides a logical template to carry out your thinking, and boosts confidence big time.

Concepts taught are very easy to understand. The application/practice quizzes right after the Concept files cements the learning in your mind.

Immense practice is available through Scholaranium platform to take your preparation levels to a new dimension.

Any one willing to put in the effort for a good score in Verbal Section of the GMAT Exam, the one course that you would need is the E-GMAT's Verbal Online Course. Look no further. Be rest assured.

Egmat for prep

Hi! After I scored a 670 on the official gmat exam, I researched for a prep course that would return the best results. E-gmat definitely had the best reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I purchased both Quant and Verbal Online courses and found them extremely useful. I had prepared for the gmat before through the official gmat guide and the manhattan set, but I feel that the video tutorials and explanations provided by the egmat online course are much more helpful in understanding and remembering the concepts.
Egmat's scholaranium is probably the best tool out there for gmat prep. It has allowed to identify my weaknesses and rectify the same through targeted practice. In addition, the concepts and logics tested on the quant scholaranium problems are quite similar to the actual problems. In fact I believe the Scholaranium problems are slightly harder than the actual problems, simply because the scholaranium problems require higher application of the core concepts.
I have seen 30-40 point improvements in my mocks' scores and my weakness at the time is time/anxiety management during the exams. I will continue following the tips offered by egmat around that and hope I can meet the target score.

My knowledge of the subject matter was rusty and I was having trouble concentrating for the 3 hr period. Apart from the content, I found the guidance regarding test-taking and attitude very helpful. It really helped me see this exam in a new light and treat it as a decision making test. I was nervous going into this preparation and my mock test was giving me <700 score.

Mark was very responsive to our questions - both in and outside the class. The class size was small and I was able to get all my questions answered (and I always had a lot!).
The online class gave structure to my preparation and regularity. The advice around timed sets helped with the timing issue. I felt within the short span of 5 weeks, Mark was able to capture the crux of the material that helped me push my score beyond 700.

eGMAT help with verbal online course review

Hi,
Thank you e-Gmat for all the help provided in my preparation for GMAT. I achieved a score improvement of 140. This was possible because of the customized strategy and study plan provide by e-Gmat team.
Although I had enrolled for GMAT class coaching (from a different company) and completed the entire Official Guide 2018 before. In my first attempt I got a very low score and was disappointed at it. I had given up on taking GMAT again. But after few days I went through a post in GMATClub; a student had faced similar situation and the reply from Rajat of e-Gmat was promising. I immediately wrote a message to Rajat with my ESR attached and after few days I received a complete personalized strategy and study plan with analysis of my current score. The study plan also included my strong and weak areas, the split scores I should target according to my ESR.
I decided to retake GMAT in November, with only 2 months of time, e-Gmat team suggested me the Verbal Online course and introduced their “Learn-Refine” strategy. After going through the content of e-Gmat Verbal course I can definitely vouch that e-Gmat course covers all minute details necessary to ace GMAT. My favorite element of the course was Master Comprehension and Pause Points. This helped me a lot in understanding complex sentences which is very much essential for SC, CR and RC.
Along with the e-Gmat verbal course they also include GMATclub tests. This helped me prepare for quant. So my entire GMAT preparation was covered. Without any doubt this is the best course available online and Kudos to the e-Gmat team for all the help provided.

The kind of clarity that the live prep of e-GMAT provided was outstanding and it helped to a large extent. The sessions, each lasting from 90-120 minutes, provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen the basics. When I started, SC was more about trying to look for errors right away without trying to understand the meaning of the sentence- Live prep helped me to a large extent with this aspect. Apart from that, the trainers were really professional and were able to clarify all the queries on time. Its probably one of the best verbal courses for GMAT on the market.
