Confidence is Key!

I had written the GMAT a little less than 9 months ago (560- V28, Q39). It was such a terrible score that I decided to take a break (to pacify my bruised ego) before I began my preperations again. Rather than mindlessly studying through various concept files as I did earlier, I first decided to read some of the success stories and reviews of people who had aced the GMAT. A common topic I found in most of these reviews was that the E- GMAT Course was recommended by most of them. Between Quant and Verbal, I realised that my Verbal score needed a drastic boost. Trusting myself to study quant from the study material I already had, I decided to opt for the E- GMAT Verbal Online Course and boy, am I glad I did!
The issue I had while attempting Verbal questions was that I relied strongly on gut for SC questions. (CR and RC accuracy were comparatively better) This was of course a recipe for disaster. I began going through the concept files of the E- GMAT Course about 2 weeks ago and have thus far completed the SC Course and am half way through the CR course. With just two weeks of preparation, I have noticed an immense difference in the accuracy of my SC score. What the E- GMAT Course offers you is not only a step by step process to tackle every question but also a confidence that every question marked is right. Marking the correct answer for the right reason is as important as rejecting the incorrect answers for the right reason. The E- GMAT course ensured I suppress my tendency to rely on gut and instead use the systematic step by step process I learnt from the course, leading me to choose the right answer. The more questions I attempted and practised on, the higher my accuracy increased. This lead to a steep increase in my confidence.
One of my favourite aspects of the E- GMAT Verbal Course is the Scholaranium. It gives you the power of creating your own ability quizzes thereby knowing exactly where you stand and what you need to work on to improve. I found this especially helpful since I found that my SC accuracy had improved from a terrible 23% to a whopping 92% even when there were comparatively tougher questions to tackle. My speed gradually increased as well. This again improved my confidence that on the D- Day, I will have sufficient time to select the right answer.
Earlier, I used to dread taking a mock test because I feared similar scores as my first GMAT attempt, scores that still haunt me. However, lately, post going through the E- GMAT concept files and with my improvement reflecting on Scholaranium, I find that my confidence is growing and I am positive that I will soon be ready for my second attempt at the GMAT. More on that once I write the GMAT again.

Amazing, modern Quant Prep

If you're anything like me, the Quant section was by far the most challenging from the outset, and continued to pose as a formidable opponent. After taking the test once, and struggling with the Quant, I knew I needed to find a resource. I had been using books from the "big guys," but it wasn't really helping the Quant material click for me. I figured there must be something else out there. I quickly stumbled on Target Test Prep (TTP) - a relatively new player to the GMAT prep game. So I checked them out thoroughly. I was surprised at first to see they were the only company on the market that focused solely on Quant, but that actually gave me confidence - they aren't trying to be everything to everyone. TTP - least for now - is a focused approach for people serious about improving their Quant score.

As a growing company, TTP without a doubt has nothing but your best interest in mind. I found them very communicative, and responsive - never felt alone in the process even though I chose a "self-study" approach with them. Using a combination of written lessons and tons of videos showing exactly how to approach each type of problem, I found TTP to be a robust training course. Two things stood out for me most of all, though. 1: there's no fluff, or clutter. Everything presented, even the basics, are for a reason to refresh and build upon. And 2: the way to approach the Quant questions is what helped me the most. Every service shares their method for approaching it, but I found TTP to be the best for learning really useful tactics that made sense to me, I could retain, and utilize on test day.

In about 6 weeks, after utilizing TTP's entire Quant course, I retook the GMAT and increased my overall score by 30 points. My Verbal remained the same, meaning that my increase was all in Quant: went from a 43 to a 47, thanks to TTP’s help. With their available free trial, I highly recommend giving it a try, and see if the format and teaching approach work for you!

As a non-native and engineering graduate I wanted to score maximum on the quant section of GMAT. In the last attempt at GMAT I scored 49 on quant and I wanted to score 51. I started my preparation with the Manhattan GMAT guides. I won’t say that these guides are not good but I was unable to improve myself further. I was not able to finish the quant section in time. To improve myself further I was in search of some resource when I stumbled upon the e-gmat in a Facebook promotion. I straight away joined their free quant webinar and found it as an eye opener. Without making any delay I enrolled in the course.
The entire quant course is divided into 5 sections: 1) Number Properties, 2) Algebra, 3) Geometry, 4) Word Problems and 5) Advance topics.

The Quant course (Verbal as well) is in the form of video lessons followed by practical quizzes. The first quiz on each section consists typically on low level questions that help you understand the basics. On the second quiz, the difficulty level of the questions increases progressively. One thing I like about it is that each question has a timer so you can see how long is taking you to solve different types of questions based on the difficulty level. The course provides step by step solutions of these practical questions as well as of the OG questions that are recommended at the end of each section. All the explanations are very clear.
The icing on the cake is scholaranium . This is the Custom test platform by e-gmat where one can select questions of different topics, different difficulty levels and adjust timings. As a result you also get detailed analysis of the timing and your performance. This detailed analysis has taken my prep further and finally I am scoring 50-51 on the gmac mock tests.
I found the course phenomenal. It is very meticulously laid down content wise and method wise. I will recommend this course to every GMAT aspirant.
Happy learning!

I took e-gmat quant live prep course to boost my GMAT Quant. I was very impressed with the in-depth analysis and strategic method of teaching. I would recommend it to students who are looking to gain a stronger understanding of quant topics. My weak areas were Algebraic Translations, Geometry, Probability and Combinatorics, Weighted Averages and Number Properties. I spent some time reviewing concepts and then did timed practice using OG and GMAT Club. e-gmat played a major role in inculcating more confidence in my quant abilities going into the GMAT. I did not have much time but if you have 2+ months, this course is ideal to brush up rusty concepts. It is definitely worth the buy. Good luck!

I couldn't thank enough for the amazing support egmat has provided me since the time I enrolled in for their course.

I am a non-native speaker. Although I was confident about Quants part of GMAT, I was sure I won't get a good GMAT score unless my Verbal score is above 35. Each time I took a mock, my verbal scores were around 20 initially. Anyway, I decided to give my first GMAT and scored a mere 640, with Q(49), V(27).
After a month I resumed my preparation but again I had no clear plan or strategy. Honestly, that is the worst mistake anyone can commit while taking GMAT. I took GMAT twice and scored just a 650 this time with Q(49), V(29).
That is when I realized there is something seriously wrong in the way I analyze questions. I also realized the importance of a strategy to improve time management for each section. This time I did my research on the internet and finally enrolled for egmat. Although I knew about egmat before from a friend of mine and had actually used my friend's account to get some basics of topics, I never really went with their study plan that time. This time I did stick with the strategy and study plan that egmat provided. Needless to say, my Verbal score was improving. More importantly the way I analyze questions changed.
If I could improve my score and get a 700+, I strongly believe anyone could get a good score, provided you work persistently and you have a good source like egmat. Egmat really was supportive when it comes to clearing my queries too.
I would any day suggest egmat course to anyone who is seriously looking for a score improvement.

e-GMAT Verbal prep - the best way to enhance your verbal score.

I was very depressed when I saw my GMAT score in my first attempt for which I had prepared very hard. I got 530 with a verbal score 21. Then, I decided not to give up and realized that I should draw more attention on my verbal skills. I looked through all the GMAT courses at gmatclub.com and hypothesized that e-gmat would be optimal choice. The reason was quite simple; ranking, number of reviews and price, altogether, motivated me to taste its free online sessions and watch free verbal video lessons to evaluate potential of e-gmat verbal courses. It was so surprising for me to gain so many useful tips and knowledge from free trial and one little free live session of the e-gmat verbal live prep. So, I purchased the whole verbal prep course, verbal online and verbal live course, right away, and this was one of the decisions that I will never regret in my life.
As soon as I started the course, I acknowledged that before I was not in a right direction in my preparations for the exam. E-gmat verbal prep course has enabled me to enhance my learning experience and made the verbal part of GMAT with which I had been so uncomfortable, easily reachable. Moreover, because the instructors are so proficient in their job, it was very easy to grasp what they are trying to deliver. Verbal live prep became the course in which I learned a lot more than just watching videos and applying the theory on my own. It was invaluable when instructors navigate me through right path, explaining all the invisible pitfalls arisen along the way. Additionally, there is great opportunity to get instant vital answers for the questions worrying me mostly. I felt myself quite confident and empowered after each live prep session and highly inspired to attend next one. In addition, e-gmat has provided me with extremely important tools and key strategies that I had considered insignificant before. For instance, following 3 step method and the perseverance on understanding the meaning on SC questions have led me to tackle toughest SC questions in a high time manner. Pre-thinking each assumption, strengthen, weaken and evaluate questions has become the best tool in solving all CR questions. Furthermore, e-gmat verbal live course has showed me how to identify the correct answer with 70% probability without even looking at options through its valuable strategies. Also, the application tests after every session as well as scholoranium tests have helped me to keep track of where I am and of what should be strengthened.
Thus, I am very grateful for this course since it allowed me to be confident at any GMAT verbal question no matter how tough it is. Thanks to this course after a two-month preparation my verbal score on GMATprep mock exam has increased to 36 from 21. Therefore, I would highly recommend this course for those who seek for greater improvement in their verbal skills. This course provides you with the core elements in a very efficient and strategically right way.

I was very weak in the verbal concepts when I started preparing for GMAT. One of my friends suggested about the verbal live course of egmat. I have since then been a fan of it. The course covers indepth details of each verbal concepts and quizzes covering the concepts for each. I really found it useful to get the basics right before starting to practise on the scholaranium. I would recommend this to anyone who has issues with the basics of verbal concepts. I am myself recommending it to all my friends. Wish all the best to the egmat team! Keep up the good work.

I have started using egmat course for more than three months now. I have found it very usefeul especially the scholaranium section. The verbal scholaranium has very diverse set of questions that is very good for all levels of GMAT takers. For me, I was having a lot of trouble with CR section initially. Ability to filter questions by difficulty helped me initially. I was able to track how well I was doing in the different levels of questions. The SC and RC sections are also very useful. I consitently use the EGMAT scholaranium to practise atlease 10-15 questions a day depending on my schedule.

Target Test Prep Flexible Plan Review

Course Target Test Prep Flexible Prep

I took my GMAT for the first time in July 2017 and got a 44Q. After months of studying, using all the Kaplan materials (including the Live Online Prep Course), and taking countless practice tests with better results, I was really disappointed with my quant score.

After decompressing for a few weeks, I decided I might as well give the GMAT another go while the math was fresh in my mind. I didn’t want to wait another year to take the test and have to re-learn everything I had spent months trying to remember. So I decided to take the test again at the end of August.

As I geared up to take the test again, I knew that just using the Kaplan materials again wasn’t going to get me the score I wanted. After extensive internet searching I landed on Target Test Prep. Beyond having good reviews, the Flexible Program was reasonably priced at $99 a month. This was a big plus after spending thousands on the Kaplan program.

Like other reviewers have said, the Dashboard is extremely useful. It shows your strongest and weakest chapters, your accuracy percentage, your average time per question (even divided up between problem solving and data sufficiency), among other things. It is a great quick and easy way to keep track of your progress and see what you still need to improve on.

I began with doing the medium-level practice problems in each of the chapters. That gave me a good indication of what me strengths and weaknesses were. After determining the topic areas I needed to review (e.g., combinations and permutations, probability), I reviewed those specific chapters only. The chapters were detailed and contained a lot of useful tricks to work through problems faster. Especially useful were the video AND written explanations for each practice problem within the chapter. I also liked that the practice problems were divided up by difficulty level and practices sets had accuracy goals depending on difficulty level (i.e., you should aim to get 70% of medium questions right vs. 60% of hard questions right).

Target Test Prep really lived up to its reviews. After using it exclusively for a month, I got my quant score up to 49! I can definitely say that I was more confident about the quant section going into my test. More concretely, I know I would have gotten the first question of the quant section wrong on test day if it weren’t for Target Test Prep.
